Dh and I both fell asleep while reading. Dh woke up before I did.
We are having pierogies for supper. We didn't feel like going out in this heat.
Congrats on the upcoming wedding Kathryn and Ken!!

Re: Ta-DA Tuesday
I have been out in the garden sure is nice outside, I moved a few bricks that were by the patio, and found 2 step stones I wanted earlier could not find any to be bought over town so excited to find these two just the amount I wanted yea! So I dug out the other stone I had used instead what I had. Put those around a plant I am saving as edging. Watered that area and rinsed that off! What a great surprise for me. Next I want to empty out some terra cotta pots to use later for something else.
-----
Got a pen pal letter and I'm jotting down some notes for a response.
Cut up the zucchini and froze up 2/3 of it the rest I am keeping out for meals the next couple fo days.
Found a few more bricks so I moved them they are half ones works great for a curved border on one of the beds in the back yard. Pulled a few weeds while I was outside too
------
Had dinner and got the dishes done cleaned the microwave counters look better not perfect but definitely better.
I cleaned the top of the fridge, stove hood too yea! That's is embarrassing how long it has been since I did that glad for that progress.
Moved a few items off the counter that helped as well. I will rethink what I have on there and see what I can change about that this week.

Re: Ta-DA Tuesday
Off to bed now.
I managed to go out but didn't manage to get everything on my list. Costco was out of Kirkland paper towels and yogurt. Ds is going tomorrow and invited me along to visit with dgs while he does the shopping. They went last week and the one they went to was out of multiple things including toilet paper. So obviously supply chains are wonky again.
I booked the wedding hotel for a second night and then offered the hotel to my sister for the second night since we won't be using it for sleeping, just until about 5 in the afternoon.
That's about all I managed to do. Tomorrow was to be my heavy housework day, but now I'm rethinking that. I will go for the walk early in the morning again, though.

Re: Ta-DA Tuesday
Kathryn, TG sounds like she is beginning to integrate with your family (is that the correct way to say it?) and hopefully it will get better as time goes on. I'm glad you like her.
I've had a busy day. I moved some stuff around and got my picture up on the mantel. I put the summer-y one back in the closet. I think the new one looks really nice up there. DH is offering to make a frame and he says I can figure out what I want to paint it. After I had all my stuff done I suggested we might go to the beach. DH just about jumped off his chair in his excitement to go. He has no desire to have a pool but he loves being outside, especially at the beach.
He noted the problems he was having in the water, even with his 'noodle' to help him stay afloat... and the problems he was having just getting out of the water. And this water there has basically no waves or currents to hinder our getting in or out. It is where our local river empties out into our harbor, so it is calm. The water felt wonderful. We sat in our beach chairs for a while before coming home.
I had a lot to do here after that, showers and I washed the beach things and hung them out and I changed DH's sheets because he had bled all over them and I didn't know it. I had to do the mattress pad also, which had to be dried before I could put fresh sheets back on. I keep 2 sets for each bed to make things easier.
I sent a couple texts...one to thank DH's sister for her birthday card. She tells me she is in the next state where apparently she'll be moving with her son and daughter and their family. Her son bought property over there... and she tells me it is beautiful. sigh.... we're not particularly close to them, but a little bit and we do get together a few times a year... but it's odd to think they'll not be here most of the time.
Blessed, I often think about how my life would have been if I'd been as smart back then as I think I am now. Why did it take me so long to grow up? We learn from our experiences I guess.
