Meaningful Monday

Don’t know how meaningful it’s been, but I’ve got the second load of laundry in the washer now.

Actually, dh and I had a meaningful conversation… we were talking about how dmil always liked me better than dxsil. I said, “even though she was a better wife than me, while she was married…”
Dh cut me off and said, “That doesn’t have anything to do with being a good wife! You can hire someone to cook and clean! Being a good wife is about trying to be part of someone’s life and doing things together.”
We were riding home, talking, as we often do now, about how our crazy reckless string of mistakes ended up with God working it all for good.

Dh has no idea that I’ve been kinda down lately, with BJ Thomas’ song ringing in my head constantly— The Worst that Could Happen.
It may be a true song for someone, you know, but if it was, he made a lot of mistakes before he ever met me… and it m pretty sure this life I’m living is the best thing for me.
Then another song came on the radio— Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right. Another very special song in my life, and a perfect message for me.

So… I’m getting those little God-winks, you know, and I’m doing okay.

Dmom is doing pretty well, dh is feeling much better, and we’re just plodding along. We’re watching a documentary on Pat Dye, former coach at Auburn. It’s very good.
