I had nearly posted here today but cut it and pasted in J and C, so the ordinary things I was saying were never posted. What I was saying wasn't private so much as gossipy, as if ya'll know any of the people, lol. Just not very nice.
We had made our big grocery shopping trip.
After we got settled back home, I made lasagna. We watched GBBS while we ate. Late getting to this episode but we've had very little time.
Ds called and chatted a while. He says his whole face/head feels heavy and swollen, which is not surprising. Ddil says she is pleased with the healing. He couldn't accept any lasagna because it doesn't fall within the guidelines of soft and bland foods. His follow-up visit with surgeon is Wednesday and surgeon thinks he may release him for driving. They were planning a trip to the coast (fishing area, not tourist-y) this weekend, and maybe they could still keep the reservation of the little house there. They would simply go in ddil's car on Saturday morning - no camping things, and not trying to go Friday for an additional night. She could drive most of the way if he needed. It would be something to look forward to, if he was up to it.
I'll be taking dgdC to school Monday and Tuesday morning.
Oldest dgirlcousin called to ask about ds. She had heard from another cousin's dil a completely different version of ds' accident, so I had to set that straight. It's really something how things get turned around in the telling.
HRH was on an audio chat with a friend in TN who has a one-year-old girl with a diaper rash that isn't getting well with their diaper cream, and I got on and chatted with him, recommending Balm ex instead. It used to work better for my kids. His wife had him message HRH privately and get more info. It's right at WMart, so we sent the page from their website. Actually, the last time I saw it I think it was a big pharmacy - should be easy to find.
Cathy, naps are definitely in order right now. You are in healing mode. I hate that your experience with the knitting group has not been as good since you volunteered to actually help work - you would think it would be the opposite. How odd that anyone would even want to be so controlling - did she want to be the treasurer and become jealous of you? Creativity should be a positive in our lives.
Thriving Thursday PWYC
