Well, it took till after 5:00 pm, but guess what -- I have s2s, including washed my hair and shaved my legs, used the facial mask, and gave myself half a pedicure, maybe -- trimmed nails but did not do anything about chipped polish.
Then I went to the post office and got myself a salad with bbq pork topping.
Talked to dmom and DS.
Dbro texted to let me know he and dsisil will be here for Thanksgiving.

Harriet, I hope all the medical stuff went well.
OOOHHHH... I like your dmom's way of dealing with hospitality. I am certainly not called.
I'm nervous right now, thinking my dbro and dsisil might want to stay with me for part of the time! Partly bc they never have stayed here, and the house is in such disrepair, with this hole in the ceiling and the guest room bath has problems... falling wallpaper, tub that doesn't drain well, toilet that won't stop running, which I keep turned off, because it leaks when it is on. I also have a HVAC unit that roars every time it kicks on, and my carpet and rugs desperately need cleaning.  I am trying to focus on the HOLE IN THE CEILING before moving to the next problem. BIG SIGH.
This also means I will be hosting Thanksgiving, b/c ddil's inlaws feel their maximum guest space for a meal is the ten we have had in previous years. With dbro/sis, we have 11. I actually have table space and chairs for 14 if we used the table in the study (where the ceiling is falling in).
Dbro and dsisil are more in tune with my sleep schedule, much more than they are dmom's, but I want them to spend enough time with dmom that maybe they see that she needs more help than just them visiting once or twice a year!
Also I do not want to watch the ballgame that Saturday with them. They definitely need to watch that game with dmom so they can all be on the same side. ;)
But I know it will allow work out. Dgrands will probably want to spend the night with me also during that holiday break, and maybe on Friday night, we can go to a movie with DS/DDIL. I think he's home that weekend.

I still dread the holidays. I cannot believe Christmas Eve is two months from TODAY! It's kinda like time has just been a big blur since dh passed. It's like it was yesterday, and like it was forever.
Nancy, dbil's fiance has talked about "widow's fog" or something. I don't feel like I'm really confused or anything, I feel like I"m managing all the stuff that has to be done, but as I've said to y'all before, if I'm not busy with the "Have to's" I really just want to lie around and watch TV.

Got a letter from church today announcing All Saint's Day November 3, when we will light candles for those who have died in the past year.
I dread this also. DS will not be at church that day, but unless something unusual happens, DDIL and dgrands will be.

Blessed, thank you. I do still take the 10 mg of Paxil, and on a few occasions I've doubled it to the 20 mg originally prescribed. I really am considering counseling, and I may call my insurance to see if it is covered. It's not a daily thing that I stay in bed so long.

So, anyway, I'm managing.
Tomorrow, I will definitely have to get out of bed earlier.
The PLAN is:
* color hair
* get steak sandwich for football team fund-raiser
* call dmom for instructions re: what she needs from Wmart
* possibly pick-up dgrands at school
* go to Wmart, errands for her and for myself
* dgd to spend the night

I certainly hope to have a more productive day tomorrow.

I did one thing today. The Stuff Swap.

A lot of items changed hands, so that was excellent. I took down a full wagon load and could carry what I took by hand. So that was good. I got some more tiles for the radiator as well as some pads for seniors who are bedridden but I'm told they are waterproof so can be used for dgs3's bed here to cut down on the laundry a small bit. And a couple of other things including a notebook for dgs8 (who wanted blank pages, not the lined one I took him.)

Unfortunately, I forgot to do something else that was almost as important, grab and sort through the Halloween decorations.

Tomorrow we go on up to Hay Lake. But before we leave, I have to figure out what I'm going to do about the Halloween decorating. And empty the car of the leftovers from tonight at the thrift store.
