btdt I forgot to check pockets and washed a tissue in the pocket this last week.
Did some evening stuff cleaned sinks.
This weekend 2 clocks how have new batteries did not have them on hand last weekend.
[One battery died this week.]
Brought one upstairs from the basement and relocated it. Took a minute to get used to the click click click sound.
I did some de-cluttering had 3" of papers at the beginning of the week and it's down to less that 1" that I"m keeping for now
till I get info and notes from. These are old planner pages. I had hit a snag with the p/c probs. before I returned the other one.
Would have gotten em done before it not for that as I had them separated into alternating doable stacks for the week.
Dusted some in the bathrooms.
Knitted a bit.

I had to laugh after I was so sure that I would finish my appliqué - I cut the fusible webbing and bottom of piece was just a bit too small. I had imagined it being done tonight! dd older and I had such a good laugh about it. So close!!! I missed it by ... this.. much
Mom has been here all day and I think she has had fun - dd older wanted to help us (me) start on the holiday decorations-grateful for it. Mom and dd older cleaned the dining room and set up the village on top of the buffet in the dining room. Now mom is napping (sitting up) on the couch. One of the dogs is sleeping right next to her.

Dh put a roaring fire on while he watched the Bill's (NFL) football game. They won! I sat with him and did some cross stitching. We also had some hot chocolate. Supper was perogies, sausage, fried onions and I boiled half of a small cabbage. Super way to spend a rainy Sunday.

What a joy to come here and read CI's. I don't want to ever take that pleasure for granted.
DD13 and I spent some time outside picking up branches and raking leaves. She is not a fan of the outdoors but is a willing participant when it is required.
I am trying to decide if I want to turn the 4 alarms for school off. We don't have school tomorrow. My reluctance is because I might forget to turn them back on tomorrow night. hum...

It’s so good to be back with you all!
I have been talking to you in my head over the past few weeks, but it’s not the same, of course. I have been working with a therapist on my various ADHD-ish problems and telling her about how helpful the index cards are and how much support I get from the board, and I had to fess up this last time that I had not been using my cards, and I had not been online with you folks, and things had not been going so well.
I think a lot of it stems from the fact that my knees have been bothering me. It makes it hard for me to get up around and do things. I’ve been avoiding laundry, for example, due to the need to go up and down stairs. I think my weight has just gotten to where my legs can’t take it anymore. Between my psychiatrist (I said it was functionally like being depressed — I spent too much time just sitting in a chair), and the cardiologist (who said we could get me off my various meds) practically pleading with me, I’ve gotten a bariatric consult. My insurance won’t cover (which stunned both doctors, but there’s a full page of exclusions of almost anything to do with weight loss — “but it’s your health!”), but I have money from the sale of my mom’s house, and it turns out it’s more than enough to cover. But that’s as far as I’ve gotten, just discussing the financials.
That’s the biggest stuff that’s new with me. Hopefully, I will get back in the habit of spending more time here, and I will get back on track. Love to you all!

I took the dgrands to see The Best Christmas Pageant Ever tonight — no school tomorrow and I figured they’d just get on each other’s nerves if we stayed home all day.
It was so good — funny and meaningful at the same time. They both enjoyed it.
As LadyM said — never taking for granted the joy of having this circle of friends to come to for support, advice, reassurance, and just something “normal” when things are spinning out of control.
