Congratulations to your high school team and your dnephew, LadyM!!! I know they are all just floating on air tonight!

Thanks for the tips also, re: scrolling addiction.

Y’all, just a PSA — if you are susceptible to hypoglycemia, it is not a good idea to start your day with a cinnamon raisin biscuit, 2 slices of bacon, and several slices of candied bacon, and a cherry coke from Hardee’s.
I have been practically comatose all day!
I know I should not really joke about that, and I do know the seriousness of bs issues. When I was in high school, the doctor wanted to check my bs when I was feeling a “low.” One day I called my mom and told her she probably should check me out. She said, “Are you feeling shaky?” I said, “I think I fainted. I was in the library and I woke up with my face in a flower pot.”

Anyway, I have slept almost ALL day. (After the ballgame and that crazy breakfast.)
But just now, dgs and I had supper, double meat on a hamburger from McDonald’s, with fries, and a DIET Coke. Dgs had TWO Big Macs and some ice cream. I did NOT have ice cream.
I’m feeling better and I am going to work on Christmas cards now.
Tomorrow is another day.

Twins' Mom, to think it was selected in the first year, too, when it first appeared, since some are selected from the second. People you don't even know will be learning from you, how cool.

LadyM, congratulations to your nephew and his sharp team!

lucylee, make out a little 3x5 of what you NEED to do on the computer before you enter the room. It may turn out to be a very similar one every day. And just promise yourself you'll do those things first and then take a break. Give everything else in the house/life a chance to catch your attention after that, but if it doesn't, time at the computer for fun. It's your call on how much posting here is a need and how much is fun - this spot falls into a special category.

lucylee, mood is positively affected by saying "yes" to healthy foods and "no" to not-so-healthy ones, too. It might bring your mood up to keep a food diary and take note when you need to rein something in. I have not had time to go back to Cronometer online and keep up with putting my actual meals in for a check-up, but LadyM does it all the time. ( I only did the free one.) Btw, remember Tobias will not eat McDonalds hamburger meat. And he is a very honest cat. He will taste almost anything meaty, but not McDonalds. He's trying to tell us something ... ..

I have all the gifts for grands and all bags and color tissue paper laid out in the living room and HRH is going to set up the card table and we are going to marathon it. I just need to manage getting the white tissue paper, which is in a box that's gotten inaccessible to me right now. HRH may be able to reach it for me. Price of having 1958 sized rooms with much younger sized furniture.

Oh, almost forgot! I was awake in a sleepless night last night (temporary steroid prescription) and said to myself - for the umpteenth time - how I wished I could remember the name of the contractor who built this house. Suddenly I was finishing the sentence in my mind with "Mr. Mitchum. Mr. Mitchum built the house". My dmother said his name many times in my childhood and youth but I haven't "heard" that sentence for decades! I thought of a bunch of ways to remember the name and went back to sleep.

I have finished the red hot pads first one of a set.
Got the dishes done up.
Had dinner a bit early.
We had some breeze and rain after the sun went down.
