just a quick hi to everyone.

it's been an experience of a morning -

one struggle with a man at my mothers building who is new and spouted off all kind of new rules about me bringing mom to her apartment - they want mom's parking spot for their valet.

mom has decided that her new name for me is MAUKT-pronunciation - to be funny - it means "servant" in Alsatian - then when I asked if she could rinse off her dishes then she called me a Maukt and then pretended to faint and die - and then laughed. she thought she was hysterical - I say she was a stinker.

It is 20 degrees cooler today than yesterday but still comfortable to be outside. We enjoyed being in the sunshine while walking on our town park trail. DD13 would never choose to do physical exercise if given the choice but she was smiling and okay with it. DH and I remembered and discussed the families who came together about 30 years ago to make this park happen. A local farmer donated the land. The park was designed and built by a labor of love involving dozens of community families bringing their tractors and land moving equipment to shape the land. Families bought trees and planted and cared for them. Small town ways of getting things done.

I am going to kick my heels up and check out the 3 channels that I follow on uTube.

hi to everyone - I can't see everyone that posted. but hello just the same.

my stock the last time didn't turn out - I had to open them and toss them. oh well - I will try again another time! first time in many many years that it didn't turn out.

my food processor that I have had for over 20 years gave up the ghost today -

I have spoken to dd's a couple times today and yesterday - I could easily take a nap but I know I won;t sleep tonight.
I have to sweep again

I think I will change dinner plans. I still have a Caesar salad from a restaurant the other day for mom. I have a pizza in the freezer - not exactly party food.

Next right thing:
empty dw and rinse the food processor well and see if I can get it to work again.

trying not to get tired. I think I will have some hot tea and make up a menu for tomorrow

I'm back from therapist. Had a good session discussing changes I want to make this year and how I'll need to adjust to dh being around more. Even tho Instacart had delivered my order, I stopped at the other Publix - the super busy crazy one - and got blackeye peas and some salt pork for it.

Back at home, Millie discovered the Hanukkah gelt that M and S gave her so we played in the yard a few minutes. And then we walked two laps with dfriend M and saw (and reacted) to every dog in the neighborhood. Quite the workout! And we were being beaten by the wind gusts, too.

My groceries were at home when dh got home - before I did - so he put them away. This has been sitting awhile, obviously.

DD13 accidentally broke her phone. Shattering it. So....scratch what I was doing and start the process of finding her another phone. DD13 was in tears about it. We discussed the difference in accidents happening vs intentional carelessness. She is not in trouble over her broken phone, but she will experience a day or so without having a phone until a new one arrives.

I have taken the greenery of winter decor out of the living room.
No lites on it and put in a tee shirt up-cycle bag and took that to the staging area 1st then
on down to the storage room with the red and green totes.
At the Cmas gathering we discussed the value of clear totes vs. red and or green ones
so you could see what is actually inside them.

I have the battery charging thing and know how to plug it in and put it on the Jeep.
Had to do that one winter until it dawned on me I needed a new battery.
Then that one went bad not too long after and had to have it replaced.
I am glad I recognized the hard start and had them test it and got one
mostly under warranty b/c it was not very old. # Feeling thankful. #
