Home from chair exercises and having a snack of veggies and salsa, then some crackers. I can't eat much but am hungry and what I eat tastes good.
Harriet, I'm sorry today is a 'puny' day for you but it sounds like you are handling it well, doing what you can.
It will be an early dinner here because I have an in-person meeting at 7 tonight.
Tomorrow I have the doctor in the afternoon but can have a lazy morning.

Pausing my activity. I've been writing down a lot of To dos, but need to redirect myself perhaps. Having a decaf coffee.
Tried to play a game with ddog since it's so cold out. Put treat under small cup showing it to her. She won't touch it, thinks it's a trick I guess? Finally just left the treat on the floor without the cup and she still hesitated before taking it.
Going to walk her next.

hello everyone - waving to each of you.
I had mom work off her L*st from this morning. with guidance, She washed her laundry, she set up her meds for the week, figured out her calendar, swept the den/family room, helped fold her blankets, got herself dressed down to socks, but wouldn't brush her teeth, helped clean out a drawer and matched socks.
what's working: writing the date (after she checks off her calendar) and year on top lined paper - and DRINK WATER - she doesn't remember necessarily the date but this has been helping her as a memory tickler as it is on the kitchen table. the calendar working for her right now.
she is happy today. All of this can go away tomorrow but today was a good day.
my brother was happy today and is going up north to Minnesota with his lifelong best friend. - they are readying their new land they purchased on the boundary waters canoe wilderness area. They canoe these waters every summer. They are hoping to build a home/cabin starting this spring. I will say They are both very excited.
He sounded cranky yesterday, which always worries me, but today he was absolutely lovely to talk to. He has a lot of people that count on him. He needs a vacation from all the responsibilities he has (he volunteers a lot).
dd older landed but still on the plane waiting for a gate. she has to work tomorrow.
dh had his Hairs cut (as he says) and he looks spiffy!

He seems better as the day continued.
I cheated on making dinner: I bought 6 large meatballs from the local Italian place - I have sauce and made spaghetti. I also made a green been salad.
emptied dw from earlier - filled the dw again and turned it on - it was not completely full but better to start with clean dishes in the am.
mom decided to feed the dogs some spaghetti - on top of her white blanket- -it became an orange spaghetti blanket - at least she had an apron on and her sweater and pants didn't get dirty. washing the blanket now.
- hopefully I can say hello individually later on but
waving hello now!!!.

Meeting just took 90 minutes and it was good to see so much handed over to others to work on.
I've been home 90 minutes and only did a bit of work on my health analytics, for my appointment tomorrow.

I'm probably not super-well prepared, but as long as I have electricity, I will be able to eat. If the power goes off though... all bets are off. Fortunately, even when we have ice storms, they don't last too long, and weather reports seem to point toward more snow than ice for us.
I hope my dmom is set for staying home a few days. DS has a 4-wheel drive truck, however, so if an emergency should occur, we can call on him.
School has already been cancelled for Friday. DDIL is preparing to spend the night at work tomorrow night, because precipitation should start before daylight Friday. She is afraid they will be short-handed over the weekend, and although her position is an administrative/management title, she may be called upon to fill in for nurses and aides who can't get there.
I have had a fairly ordinary day... did a couple loads of laundry, but still need to hang them to dry. Need to do a couple more loads tomorrow.
Also started gathering Christmas decor to the dining room table. I like to get it all there in one place before I start getting out the boxes everything goes in. Tree is still up, and I've been sleeping in here in the den because I love the lights so much... and I've decided to leave snowmen and snow village up for a while. It certainly seems appropriate this weekend. I replaced Christmas tree placemats with snowmen placemats.
Went to church, taught my class. Only two ladies showed up, but that was fine. I shared with them about my upcoming biopsy, and one asked if she could pray for me right then. I really appreciated that. Everything I read lately seems to be pointing me towards faith, not fear. I'm trying, and I do feel a little more in control of my emotions right now, but I will certainly be glad when this is over -- IF the results are favorable. I'm sure I'm supposed to be learning something from this experience, but I honestly thought I was getting enough of an "education" in being a widow after these first 8 months. Hole in the ceiling, hole forming in the floor, dh's truck wouldn't start today (seemed like I kept flooding it -- it would start, then die), taxes to prepare.... did I really need a biopsy to worry about? Sigh.
These fires in California are just unreal... I'm glad dnephew has moved (to TN), but I know he must be concerned for friends who live out there.
Anyway... I don't have a lot to share, just wanted y'all to know I'm still hanging in here.
