Re: another new Saturday - PWYC - a great repeat.

Well I just lost a VERY long post. That is the ONLY drawback to this chromebook, and thank you again, Twins, and others who urged me to go ahead and get this for myself. DGS has been on my desktop computer all night, and I've been sitting here watching the AU-TN basketball game and cuop at the same time.
BUT... sometimes I hit the built-in mouse, and * poof * everything disappears.
So now I'll give y'all the short version --
I've accidentally erased THAT twice....
TA-DA --
DGD's basketball game, got her signed up for softball, took her home, brought DGS home with me, napped most of the afternoon!
But after we ate supper,
I reconciled the bank statement and checkbook, balanced on first try!
Wrote checks for two bills, one mine, one dmom's
Talked on phone to dcousin, dmom, and daunt
Dcousin called to tell me his aunt/my great-aunt had passed away. She is the one I visited recently in the nursing home. She was approximately the same age as my ddad, who would have been 85 last December. She was his aunt, his dad's half-sister. Now her brother, this cousin's dad, who is in his 90s, is the last of their generation living. I feel sad for him, but I told Dcousin, the last thing this aunt said to me when I visited was, "If you get a call that I've gone on, you just say 'Praise the Lord,' because that's what I'll be saying." She had a lot of pain in her life -- she had broken her back as a child, and her mother didn't force her to wear the brace the doctor wanted her to wear. She said it hurt, and her mother gave into her, so her back never healed properly. She had a large hump and was probably no more than 4' tall. But she was a lot of fun, had a lot of friends, and was very active until age and illness caught up with her the last few years. Daunt told me tonight that she actually graduated high school as salutatorian of her class! I would never have thought that -- I mean she wasn't a dummy or anything, I just never heard about that achievement.
She will most likely have a graveside service this week. Dcousin said she had told him and her niece that that was all she wanted.
I called dmom and daunt to tell them.
Dmom wants me to call Monday and make her an appt with the foot doctor. Dmom says if she doesn't have something done soon, she will be in a wheelchair. My goodness I dread this -- I just don't know what the recovery for this will entail. But dmom is right, she can barely walk, and she is in constant pain. I think I will wait till the funeral arrangements are made, so we don't end up conflicting with that. It's unlikely they would schedule her that quickly, but we need to go to the service.
I also have a haircut appt Thursday.
I guess if dmom takes a lot of my time in the next few weeks, then I won't have time to think about the biopsy. Sigh.
Ha! Y'all are thinking, if that's the short version, I'd hate to hear the long version.
