I miss Kathryn too. She has been such a big part of our SHE family for so many years. I consider Kathryn & Ken as friends and get excited when hearing from them. I hope they are doing well, enjoying the moments, and finding success in their lives.
Yes. Me too.
Well, I had a pretty long nap, and then woke up and ate the chicken salad, and a bunch of other stuff, and I talked to dh's cousin on the phone for -- hmmm... I'm not EVEN going to tell y'all how long we talked. I think I set a new record. I called her, wanting to make sure she had my cell phone number, AND wanting to tell her about the biopsy, because since so many people at church already knew, I was afraid she might hear and have her feelings hurt that I had not told her. She is easily the person in dh's extended family that I feel closest too, and I know my dmil was almost a second mother to her. She used to talk to my dmil on the phone for long periods, and I know she misses that.
Anyway -- she's about my dmom's age and I really think a lot of her and her husband. They have a son the same age as my dbro, and a daughter a little older.
The problem with the long nap is that I'm pretty wide awake now. Sigh. Yep... four in the morning again.
Just saw that Gene Hackman and his wife and their dog were found dead in their NM home. Foul play is not suspected.

Maybe a gas leak or something like that? This sounds so strange... so now I'm wanting to keep watching the news.
LadyM -- I hope the new diagnosis also offers new treatment and will help you and LordM manage these episodes.
(((Nancy))) -- hope you feel better soon!
Harriet -- your anxiety about the zoon call is perfectly understandable! Glad HRH felt like helping you get all this set up. Dcousin and I spent some of our time complaining about modern technology taking over all our doctor's offices.
Mystery! A raccoon trapped in your house? I missed this somehow. I must cuop better. This has been a concern of mine since the ceiling hole in the study... AND I am really worried about what will happen whenever the bathroom floor is repaired. I have definitely heard critters under that shower floor... and I may lie down in front of the carpenter's truck if he tries to leave me a hole in that floor! I am so terrified of mice. Dmom has a dead one in a trap in her garage. I told her I was sorry but I could not help her dispose of him in his trap. Nope. I don't do mice.
Racoons and stew... sounds like an episode of The Beverly HIllbillies.
I realized I left the half-full container of chicken salad sitting on the coffee table for several hours. My house is 73 degrees. Hmmm. I hope it is okay to eat tomorrow. I put it back in the refrigerator when I realized it.
I am so thankful for all of you supporting me and keeping my spirits up through this, and especially for your prayers. I told DS on the way over this morning, "I really can't believe how calm I actually feel about all this." DS said, "Well, it's cause you have a lot of people praying for you. It would be crazy to ask people to pray for you and then say, 'oh, but it's not working and I didn't expect it to anyway.'"
I got a little anxious when the anesthesiologist told me about the breathing apparatus, because I gag sooo easily, and from the time I started hearing about ventilators during Covid, I thought I'd rather just die from Covid. Then when they wheeled me into the surgery unit, I had another little moment when I saw the change in the color of the tile (it's a very mild, calm green -- I just knew that signaled the different department.) I told the nurse I didn't know WHY I ever consented to do this -- there was no reason for it all. Just that NP changing my meds. THEN when they started to strap down my arms on these boards... I said, "BOTH arms?" The nurse said they could leave that one (the one with no IV) loose for awhile, and that calmed me down. I just started praying when they put the oxygen mask on me (no throat thing at that point) -- I just kept repeating, "Lord, be with me..." and next thing I knew, she told me the two things she was putting in the IV and I was back in the recovery room.
I guess some of you are all too familiar with what happens during surgery, but this was all pretty new to me since I've only been under anesthesia twice in my life, and the first time was an unexpected emergency C-section, and the second was a colonoscopy.
Having done this three times now, I must say I am a fan of anesthesia. Fortunately, I had no nausea or anything like that.
Perhaps anesthesia makes me even more chatty than I normally am?
DH's cousin and I talked for almost 3 hours.
