I have been a bit cranky today! I wasn't mean but just felt cranky. I met some lovely people along the way today.

I didn't see dh today but wrote him-I feel bad that I didn't see him. dd older went this morning.

I learned a lot from a diabetes counselor appointment I had this morning. I enjoyed it tremendously.
I hadnt' realized how the liver works with the pancreas - and I never knew what the A1C was and why it mattered. Very interesting.

mom had pt

the architect came over/d brother came and spoke to him.
DB worked on dh's sink after I found water pouring out of the drain - I think dh never noticed it- . The pipes were filled with thick scum . My brother took the pipes apart and cleaned them. He will be coming in to finish it next week.

I had to clean his bathroom - more surface clean than deep down clean so that the architect could go up there - it was bad.

a busy day, a bit cranky me 8-), and accomplished things.

I also planted seeds for this summer - keeping fingers crossed.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

So many inspiring reports today, I have read a little bit along while in waiting rooms but mostly here now that I have just gotten up from nap after long day at medical appts.

Had several tests and passed all well - these were lungs, heart things to prove able for the upcoming stuff.

Lunch of nice sandwich there at a sort of luncheonette restaurant in the middle of appts.

But what a long hard day and by the time I got home just getting into the house was exhausting. We had some leftovers and I went straight to bed - this was maybe 5:00 or 5:30 because I did also get a phone call from ddolder. So, 2.5 hour nap.

Then call from dcousin Mary, who is so good for me. Also got to speak to her sweet dh.

Oh good grief. I just lost a long post. And I had only just started it.

Progress is going on with the house, and progress is creating a HUGE amount of dust all over the place. I can kinda see why dh just couldn't deal with all this during the last few years.
DS installed one of the Ring cameras.
He also got me set up with the bank app, in hopes that I can figure out where the mysterious money in my statement is coming from. I didn't try to do anything with the checkbook today though -- too much hustle and bustle around here. They are supposed to be back around 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.
Dgrands are also here tonight, with E-learning day tomorrow. This is a teacher work-day, and students are supposed to have assignments to complete at home. DGD has some worksheets; DGS didn't bring anything home.

The wind here has been unreal today, but no real storms. DS had to drive through the rain and wind though, headed to MS for an early morning event, but he will be back early tomorrow and expects to go to our Ash Wednesday service at church.
He will be gone all weekend and we're trying something new with the dgrands -- they will both stay with me Friday night, and then both go to other grandparents' house on Saturday. DDIL's dad has mentioned that he doesn't get much time with DGS because of his work schedule and they proposed this new routine, at least every other weekend. I don't do change well, but I'll do okay, and it might be good for me. At any rate, I have a lot more options to spend time with them, and I know DGS needs a granddaddy.
DDIL is working the day shift at our local hospital on Saturday. The ER is still open, but we do not expect this to last long.

(((LadyM))) for teen troubles. 13 is a hard age. It WILL get better. Also for dh. I really admire how well you handle all these things that come up so unexpectedly.

(((Twins))) for having to deal with all the ice maker stuff. I saw a friend today and she said she is always the one who has to be in charge of household stuff like this, too.

Rose -- that is wonderful that you are going to be working with kids again! You are so well-suited for this -- they will be lucky to have you!
You are right, teachers touch the future. Sometimes I worry about whether I touched it enough for good. Seems like I remember my failures a lot more than my successes. I know I lost my temper too often, and I was impatient too often... but I also know I that there are some students who remember me in a good way. And it is so nice to see them succeed and raising their own children and having happy families, and acting like they are glad to see me when we run into each other in town.

(((Harriet))) Glad you got a good nap after all the busy-ness of the day. Hope tomorrow goes well.

(((Blessed))) for you and dh AND your dmom. My goodness... I think you've earned the right for a little crankiness.

Nancy -- WTG -- you always seem to accomplish a lot.

Good for you, Mystery, on getting back into your writing.

Thinking of Cathy, hoping she is taking it easy and recovering well.

Hope you all have a great day tomorrow. :D
Tomorrow is another day.
