Hi Everyone! We had a decent morning although I think there must have been an accident on the bridge because it took forever to get to DM’s place. I am dragging today…. Which is interesting since I think I have had more sleep in the last two days.

It does, helia. When we came back from our walk, I got a good whiff of the cooking smells and approved. I'll bet that your house smells wonderful with Indian stew.

Not that I know of, trissie. There's an age where they stop taking the contributions off of your cheque, which I think is 70. If you take it before 65, they reduce your payments (forever) by a tiny percentage for each month that you took it early, and if you put off taking it past 65, up until 70, they increase it slightly for each month. Either way, it won't come close to meeting all monthly expenses, so I'm going to use it as a cushion against surprise expenses or job loss.
WTG on getting your groceries done. I'm going to skip them for this week and just pick up Germane's dog food delivery. There's only one grocery store that I can walk to, and its sales this week are skippable.

You have gotten lots done, despite how you are feeling, L.Ann. WTG!

Germane dancing around the door convinced me that I had better walk her before doing laundry
Took off shoes and started dressing up to go outside
Germane used her pee pads
Cleaned up after dog
Gathered garbage and blue box recycling
Brought them to basement with Germane
Took Germane out for her walk
It was so warm and nice behind the wind break that I started thinking that I could walk Germane to the animal hospital to pick up her food.
Stepped out from the windbreak and Germane got blown across the sidewalk.
Pulled in the leash to stop her from being blown right into the puddle on the road.
Carried Germane for part of her walk
Cleaned her paws

I am going to flip my tasks, as it has gotten late to do laundry before the animal hospital. I will settle Germane in her pen to sleep off her excitement, probably wait for the whole wheat bread to finish, and then walk to pick up her food. I'll rest, maybe have phone visit with db, and do laundry after.

We had unexpected rain this afternoon/evening, L.Ann, but it's supposed.to be warm and sunny again tomorrow, and for the next few days.

Thank you for the explanation, Dogged, that sounds a very underhand method of companies doing things setting employees up to fail.

Trissie, it was grocery day for me as well, but all I had to do was put them away after they had been delivered, so I'm not sure if that counts!

It rained, this afternoon, so I didn't get any gardening done, but I did clean the fridge. A d worked a little more on my blog (nothing more actually hi ishes there yet!). I was so happy that Jude has finally lost some weight, that I forgot to add that the nurse we saw today (she is actually a student nurse, but I think she has the makings if a very good and conscientious nurse when she does qualify) asked if she could use Jude as her case study for her dissertation/ project . (Apparently they have to produce a detailed case study of an animal with a long term condition. As an added bonus, Jude is very sweet natured and compliant.) Of course I agreed -in fact I felt very flattered to be asked. It's also a refreshing change to have a cat that I am not continually apologising for!)

That sounds like a win-win, kittykatt. The student nurse gets a cooperative subject, and you get careful monitoring of Jude's progress.

I have walked to the vet's office and picked up Germane's new kibble, and then went on to the bank to take out more cash. I believe that I have enough cash now to cover the brakes repair when I'm ready to do that.
I'm glad that I left Germane behind. The wind was not too bad, but the gusts are just below 70 km/hour and I was walking beside a busy road at rush hour. She was safer in her pen. And now, if she wants to come to the laundry room with me, she can.

About done for the night. We have to leave by 5:45 for the hospital tomorrow morning and then will drive back to pick Little Bit up from school around lunch time. If the weather cooperates we are going to go to the small town for a couple of activities so hopefully I will get here sometime tomorrow but it will be later.
