Make list of outstanding jobs on the house and send to Handyman A. DF PM, who has been mentoring him through some difficult turns his life has taken, thinks he may be ready to start some jobs again. (If he doesn't reply in a reasonable time, or doesn't want to do anything, then I'll look for someone else, but I would prefer not to do that). Off the top of my head, clean gutters and the swan neck on the downpipes where "stuff" tends to accumulate, clean cladding back and front and downpipes, and short return wall as well. Replace the bit of mortar that's fallen out of the edge of the roof (I think its called the verge?) , fix dripping kitchen tap ( new washer?), sort out cabinet that wobbles, fix garage guttering that's loose at one end and bending down. More as I think of them? 😀 ( Still waiting for a reply) In the circumstances, leave until after Easter them contact him again before looking for someone else. Update: text him again first thing Monday, and if no reply by the end of the month, then definitely look for someone else (DF PM is also starting to become exasperated with his reluctance)
Take up and hem those thick winter curtains for the kitchen
Book eye test for me
Find picture hanging equipment for DH
Sort prints and put in albums (this will probably be an activity to do on wet days!) WIP I am now working on 2024
Think about setting up Guardianship for F,J and M - looked on Cats' Protection, I need their microchip numbers, approximate DOB, colour and markings and useful information about them. Bookmark link with local recommended solicitors (also ask DF CW?)
Change health centres to the one nearest us? On hold ATM , but I'll leave it on my list so I don't forget.

Way to go, everybody! 8-)
So far I’ve touched the planner, laundry, kitchen, dining, living, and foyer areas. Taking a water break before I start on the bedroom and my closet.

Well, this day did not go as planned. Basically the only goal I got done today was finishing exam prep. LH, my co-worker and friend can over function and become difficult and time-consuming -- which is what she did today with requested changes to her exam, some of which are against our policy, like changing the point value of questions. Dealing with her requests, the exam team, and making valid edits added a good 1.5 - 2 hours to my day. I think I spent 4.5? hours total on exam prep today. I did not need that today. In addition, ds + F wanted to talk to us about a house they're thinking of putting an offer on -- tomorrow. That was another unplanned 45 minutes. . . I love that they wanted to talk with us, though. The 5K run, CG2, Sunday dinner, and conversation with ds + F were all nice.

The hard thing: Paperwork for my mom is due tomorrow, and I will be at payroll 1 - 4:30-ish plus I'm counting on 2+ hours to prep in the morning since we're doing a review session in class. Ack!! How can I get everything done before leaving town on Tuesday?

I have no idea. I might not. I'm going to start by aiming for 8 hours sleep tonight. I had a short night last night. I'll try to get up early tomorrow.

a good night sleep will help everything happen, helia!

My foot decided to stay in bed this morning, so my body skipped church along with it, but we broadcast online, so I got to see the procession and dramatic reading. I am actually glad I stayed home, it was good for my foot.

I'm editing a graduate paper. The advisor just gave my student her paper back late last week with suggestions. Student made revisions, and got the paper to me as quickly as she could - but hey, advisor, giving less than a week for me to edit, to return paper to student, have her make some final revisions with her writing partner, when it's a Christian university and it's Holy Week???? I did spend time on Friday and Saturday, plus almost all day today - I read at least twice - first just to get the feel of the paper, second very thoroughly assess sentence structure, vocabulary, scholarship, punctuation, and more. But I got it done. Now we need to get together - that's up to her. I am hoping for tomorrow, but she is attending a labor tonight, so I'll see what time she gets up tomorrow!

And I have what I think is a sick dog. Low energy, low appetite, and more. Gradually increasing symptoms, enough that now I think there are enough symptoms for the vet to diagnose something. And we can initiate treatment - I hope - as this little dog is a lifeline for my mother. And my mother is a lifeline for the little dog, too. They miss each other. So tomorrow I will try to get the vet to find room in the day to see her.
Which means, get ready for bed now, incase they want to see her early.

And I got Easter cards stamped for the mail, and income tax estimate checks written and ready to mail. Abotu 6-8 more Easter cards could go, I'll see fi that happens.
