Hello, everyone!

I hope the dentist visit was painless and successful, L.Ann!

Oooh, Bama, a hammock! My parents had a garden swing that could be turned into a sort of hammock, but I wasn't allowed in it when was in that position!

Yay for a successful day at work, Trissie!

Laura, a big WTG for finishing DS's new room -you must be so pleased to have that done.

Dogged, you're quite right - my aim is to get the important things that really shouldn't wait too long done in a reasonable time frame, that will give me peace of mind, and still leave a few things for A to do, if he ever turns up (I do have a niggling feeling, that we probably aren't going to see him again, but I could be wrong.)

Hi, Peaches!

It's been a productive day. Upstairs is.now clean and tidy, and I had some time in my garden. I have a list of companies that I can contact after Easter - hopefully at least some will respond positively.

To do:

Appointments:
Monday: DH to office πŸ˜€
At home for meπŸ˜€
Tuesday: DH WFH
At home for me
Wednesday: DH to office
At home for me
Butcher delivery of Easter meat pack
8 am Openreach engineers are supposed to arrive to finally sort out Dnextdoorneighbour C's fibre internet - have they agreed the route they are going to follow? Will they need to use our path to work from?
Laxapet for Jude and Matilda
9 pm Final touches to Waitrose order
Thursday: DH WFH
10.30 am church
Any errands?
Hoover car? ( Weather permitting!)
Bring blue crates up from garage (delegate this to DH)
6-7 pm Waitrose delivery
Laxapet -Jude and Matilda ( if we didn't do it yesterday)
Good Friday: DH off work
At home for me
Saturday:
*Text DF E re coffee tomorrow*
Sunday: church 9.30 am
Coffee with DF E ?
Laxapet Jude and Matilda

Future dates to note:

Outstanding deliveries:

Extras:
Email DF HT re meal on 26 /4. (DH will be on a day trip with DBIL then, but I'd still like to go, so long as it won't mess up her numbers!
Find those new trainers I have stashed awayπŸ˜€
Throw out my old trainers (they are falling to bits, so can't be donated)πŸ˜€
Donate trainers that are reasonably new, but, for some reason no longer fit my feet  πŸ˜€
Order Fred's meds and new food (see MF's email for this!), and Matilda's Laxapet from vet - by TUESDAY
Digital decluttering- Google Photos for 2024 and 2025
Write upcoming appointments on kitchen calendar and in my filofax
Easter card for DF E
Chocolate Easter bunny for DF E
Email Hobbies re my dolls house
Pick up my footprints! (Thank you, RRose!) πŸ˜€
Make list of outstanding jobs on the house and send to Handyman A. DF PM, who has been mentoring him through some difficult turns his life has taken, thinks he may be ready to start some jobs again. (If he doesn't reply in a reasonable time, or doesn't want to do anything, then I'll look for someone else, but I would prefer not to do that). Off the top of my head, clean gutters and the swan neck on the downpipes where "stuff" tends to accumulate, clean cladding back and front and downpipes, and short return wall as well. Replace the bit of mortar that's fallen out of the edge of the roof (I think its called the verge?) , fix dripping kitchen tap ( new washer?), sort out cabinet that wobbles, fix garage guttering that's loose at one end and bending down. More as I think of them? πŸ˜€ ( Texted 10/3 and still waiting for a reply over a month later  )
Update: text him again first thing MondayπŸ˜€
If no reply by the end of the month, then definitely look for someone else (DF PM is also starting to become exasperated with his reluctance)
Steps to take to find a replacement: ask friends, look on local sources eg Nextdoor for recommendations
I may have to split the jobs between different people this year if I can't find someone who's good at a variety of skills
For gutter cleaning, Dneighbours R and A used Ben's gutters -are they pleased with the work? Does BG also clean cladding? Do they have a website? Yes πŸ˜€
Also The E Gutter Cleaners -they have good reviewsπŸ˜€
Prepare my "job spec" WIP
Fill in free quote forms for both the above companies
Wait and see the results!
Kitchen tap - DF E has given me the phone number if her plumber . I think DF CW also has a plumber she is happy with?
Garage gutter - probably a handyman needed here - Text /message a few likely candidates and see what happens. Does Dneighbour R2 do handyman type jobs? I know he's done work for Dneighbour R in the past, but that was larger jobs, like laying a path!
I need to find a new podiatrist - I don't know anyone who regularly uses one, so I need to do my homework:
Look online - are they taking on new clients? ( Many people aren't ATM as there is a shortage  no) Are they registered with the HCPC? Check their registration numbers to ensure they match! ( This should ensure I see someone who is properly qualified and adheres to straight levels of hygiene) Do I like the "feel" of the place from the website? Is it easy to get to? (Somewhere miles out with no parking nearby is not going to be suitable). The Foot Clinic is looking promising, the only downside is they are a bit pricey. I guess you get what you pay for! Find a date and time that's suitable and book an appointment!
Take up and hem those thick winter curtains for the kitchen
Book eye test for me
Find picture hanging equipment for DH
Sort prints and put in albums (this will probably be an activity to do on wet days!) WIP I am now working on 2024
Think about setting up Guardianship for F,J and M - looked on Cats' Protection, I need their microchip numbers, approximate DOB, colour and markings and useful information about them. Bookmark link with local recommended solicitors (also ask DF CW?)
Change health centres to the one nearest us? On hold ATM , but I'll leave it on my list so I don't forget.

To do:
Early morning:
Cuddles and treats on the bed with Matilda,πŸ˜€JudeπŸ˜€, and FreddieπŸ˜€
Cup of teaπŸ˜€
QTπŸ˜€
Update latest Waitrose order when new dates become availableπŸ˜€
Make bedπŸ˜€
Shower / wash hair/ moisturiser and sunblock/ clean and floss teethπŸ˜€
Physio exercises and back exercisesπŸ˜€
Proprioceptors exercises X1πŸ˜€ x2 x3
S/S bathroomπŸ˜€
Get dressedπŸ˜€
DH launched πŸ˜€
Breakfast and meds / supplements - me πŸ˜€
DRINK WATER #1πŸ˜€ #2πŸ˜€ #3 πŸ˜€#4 πŸ˜€#5πŸ˜€ #6πŸ˜€ #7 #8

LOL, L.Ann, I don't dare to start with the physio exercises before I start my day because Germane is on the bed with me and would not approve!

I'm working 8.5 hour days on this shift, trissie, so I have time to get something done in the evenings. The way that they have th e days arranged, I can be working 4 days on, 1 day off, and then another 4 days on, but I'm still only working 5 day weeks. But somehow that never translates to a 3 days weekend.

Have a good night, kittykatt. I hope that Matilda lets you sleep.

Hi, Peaches.

I have washed my hair and taken Germane out for her walk. It started raining soon after we set out, but surprisingly she still wanted to stay out for a little and finish sniffing things.

Sounds like long work days, Doggedly.
Sleep well, Kitty.
Hi Peaches!
What is the cake for, L Ann?
WTG on the room, Lauralind!
I hope the lit assignment went well for DS, trissie.
I see you've been here Bama - but I can't scroll back to your posts.

OK - I've hit my limit in terms of scrolling back, apparently.

I'm very tired. I got lots done - but not everything I'd wanted. I did get the important paperwork for Mom done but not the paperwork about her likes and dislikes. I'll work on those tomorrow - in IL. I skipped the payroll meeting in order to work on her paperwork. Payroll prep DID take me a long time as did prep for the sub on Wednesday, about 4 hours total prep time today. The exit exam emails also took more time than I thought + a few exam edits. . . . I got home from payroll at 6 pm, which is late for me.

It's 8 pm now, and I'm heading to the grocery store to pick up a few things.

Main Goals for Today:
1. payroll: Review my final exam
2. Payroll: Prep for AAS D12

3. Payroll: meeting 1 - 1:40 - SKIPPED
4. Payroll: teach AAS D12 1:40 - 3:30
5. Payroll: make sub plans
6. Finish filling out paperwork for Mom, scan it, and email it to NH - the important paperwork
7. GAS the car; it's almost on empty

Other Possible goals
- get a few groceries
- get a few items for Mom - pillows and some toiletries
- buy thank you cards
- bring floor lamps + odds and ends to NH; the lamps arrived yesterday after dh and I had gone to the NH

Next:
- Kroger
- put groceries away
- prep for packing tomorrow
- update health apps

Later:
- finish Mom's paperwork - lighter stuff
- make the bed
- WF run? / Kroger run?
- move counseling appt. on Thursday - can't find phone number
- order bowls
- call medlink to touch base
- bring items to NH?
- buy thank you cards + 1 small thank you gift
- start packing for tomorrow
- update WW + MFP

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - down
- coffee
- some qt
- email deletions + weather website
- payroll: review final exam
- payroll: prepped AAS D12
- payroll: graded HW6
- payroll: email exit exam results
- payroll: exam prep - a few emails and edits
- reclaimed kitchen
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped down shower
- paperwork for mom
- sent 2 docs to trustee to be signed by her
- lunch
- scanned all documents
- sent all but the 2 to be signed by the trustee to the NH
- gathered everything and otd late at 1:10 pm
- found parking in campus garage
- 1:40 - 3:30 payroll: taught AAS D12
- payroll: made sub plans
- payroll: made slides for W (review)
- payroll: printed out final exams for sub on Wednesday
- got the last 2 docs signed by the trustee; emailed them to NH
- gassed my car
- home; made and ate dinner and vegged for a little bit
- duo; not as much as I have been doing - don't have the time
