Hello, everyone!

You're making great progress in DBD's room, Trissie!

Have a lovely time today, L.Ann!

Laura, so glad DD and DSil have arrived safely and you're all having a good time together.

I hope DPup feels better soon, KitKat.

Gma, I'm glad DBro is being such a help.

Helian, it sounds as if this NHS is very attentive to your DMum's mental needs and ways to help her feel better about herself, as well as her physical needs. :D

Hi, Peaches!

I've made my apple pie for tomorrow, and the rest of lunch is prepared. I made a cherry cake in the end - not particularly special, but DH likes it. The chair backs and cushion covers nare ironed, but I'll leave them overnight before putting everything back. And it stopped raining long enough for me to do some deadheading in my garden and go for a little walk round the estate.

DH is cooking sausages and mashed potatoes for supper, with baked beans. I'm sitting down, with Matilda on my lap.

Finally, I'm back! Waving to all my accomplished Shefriends:)
Gma what happened to your leg/foot?

Did a :40 walk with Dpup. Found some neighbourhood streets with wider, flat sidewalks. (Sloping ones still hurt my knee)
Went to yoga class. Took pup to a hardware store - walked through. She was on her best behaviour:) Took her to Whole Foods (outside only) . I stood there w her while DH did the shopping. We came home: pup walked into her crate exhausted.
(Problem is, I'm a bit tired, too)

Need to:
flip laundry
clean mushrooms
clean carrots

Roast chickpeas
make dressing
make marinade

Thanks for asking, KitKat. It's a long story. Recently (week ago) diagnosed with "stress reaction" of middle long bone in foot, and told to use crutches and knee scooter. Plan on 6-8 weeks. :( Last autumn I did significant digging, yardwork, at Mom's, plus raking both yards and stomping the leaves down. A stress reaction (I learned) is a bone term for not quite a stress fracture. Almost . I've been through several wrong attempts to deal with the foot pain since I realized it wasn't going away on its own, since November.

Helian, I'm sure it will take a while to find out all the things your mom needs. And that she will enjoy a spruced up wardrobe :D

Oh Gma - sorry to hear that. You must find it frustrating... Last September I broke a metatarsal... except it was not diagnosed until 4 weeks later, at which point I did not care to do anything about it as it was not displaced... Maybe I should have. My foot is still painful ... Take good care of yourself.
Waiting for DH to bring more ingredients... so I can keep working

Might as well:
feed pup
clean mushrooms
marinate

Hi, all. I am doing laundry, so came here to CUOP and hang out with my dSHEfriends. :) I treated myself to a pizza, and am listening to an excellent audiobook. It's call Huge, and it's a thriller by Brent Butt, my favourite comedian. So far, I am really enjoying it, even though cozy mysteries are more my speed.

Hi, kitkat. It's good to see you. Are you doing Easter dinner preparations?

I have flipped the laundry. Germane joined me both times, so she's having an active day.

oh.kitKat, I'm sorry to hear about your foot! Apparently those darn metatarsals are slow to heal, as he told me at least 4 weeks on crutches, more likely 6-8. Not fun, but if it helps healing .... He told me it wouldn't heal unless I got off it. Perhaps yours is still not healed? My issue wasn't diagnosed for about 5-6 months. Non-displaced fractures are sometimes difficult to see on x-ray at first. I have seen that with hips.

Dbro has been busy helping me, and brought ddog to see Mother. Little dog actually ate some chicken that Mother had saved for her :D , then ate some more that I simmered well. It's good to have her eating! Not as much as she needs to gain weight, but an improvement over the past several days.
I cooked rice pudding today to bring to the dinner where we are going tomorrow, plus a nice Easter Lily as a hostess gift.
It's definitely bedtime for me, as we have to get up (very) early to pick up mother for church tomorrow - coffee hour is before church instead of after.
I still have to shower, pick out my clothes, and starighten my bed - I don't konw what I did last night, but my bed looks like it was in a war,, and I woke up tired!
