Hello, everyone!

Bama, Freddie will be 12 in July. I used to watch Midsomer Murders a lot when it starred the original Inspector Barnaby (John Nettles), and had been intrigued by the music of the theme tune... and Google supplied the answer!

Helian, how wise to make the most of a lovely evening and go for a walk!

Harriet, I've never heard the theremin played "live", just recordings -it must be very special to see it in action.

Laura, that's very good advice in stress management. I had my directions written down today, and it went almost to plan -It came out onto the main road a little earlier than planned, but it was still ok. Coming back home, with everything in reverse was ok. I think I just need practice, and I'll get plenty more that over the next 6 weeks!

(((Gma))) I know how special DDog is to you and your DMum. Prayers for a successful and reassuring appointment with the specialist vet.

Dogged, that jar reminds me of a jar of "slime" that G12 yo and her little friend L10 yo presented to me on the doorstep, saying please could I open it, as it was an "emergency". Eventually DH managed it with a knife and a hammer -not to be recommended, but the girls were happy. (I extracted a promise from them that they would play with it outside only!

I hope the appointment went well, L.Ann.

Hi, Peaches!

It's been a very good day. I made it to church early, so had time to walk to the vet to pick up Freddie's food before the service. Afterwards, we had parish lunch at the community café, which was voted a great success -It think we'll be back there in future. Then DF PM and I went to the garden centre, for more bedding plants. Of course, we spent longer there than planned, but I still had time for a quick cup of tea at her place before driving home.

Waitrose have delivered and the groceries are PA. Everyone has been fed + our supper was honey and whole grain mustard chicken (thank you to L.Ann for giving me the inspiration from her menu plans!), rice and peas.

Matilda has decided it's bed time, so I'll take her not -so- subtle hint. See everyone tomorrow!

LAnn, putting a list here kept me going today, without it I would have never been so productive. Hope you get some rest.
Waving to Peaches.
Kittykatt, I’m glad you had a good day. Is Freddie the oldest? Tux is my oldest, I found out he is 2 years older than I thought by going through the old she boards lol. He’s on Solensia and a pain med that I can never remember the name. He will be 17 in May, still hanging in there. I’m not sure if you remember my posts on j&c when he was dx with kidney failure. Now it’s been reduced to minor failure, just needs to stay hydrated. Thankfully he eats and drinks well, I give him wet food with gravy and he meows to drink from the faucet several times a day. I never could get him to eat the kidney special diet or extra wet meds from the vet. Stubborn!
Updated list for probably the final time today. Dh is wanting food and company.
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

That is exactly what I am living with . The episodes that I am needed right away I can get through then crash after.

I discovered a big part of my problem though. Iron and b12 are really low. Not anemic but need to get up.

I came in late today and hard to reply to everyone. I'm very tired and ready for sleep soon. And it's not 9 yet.

exhausted (as usual) after a full day. left home at 0930, didn't get back until after 1730. Had toast and soft boiled egg before leaving and nothing but a glass of water at the clinic until returned home.
Good news is that the vet thinks it doesn't look like cancer. Yes, adrenal glands are enlarged (2-3 x normal size), and yes she has a syndrome of symptoms due to that, but it is treatable. She probably isn't eating because of other GI issues, which can be treated with a bland diet and appetite stimulant. And she ate a good amount for the first time in over a week an hour after I gave her the midicine.
So good news and time for bed here. I'll catch up later

Waving to L.Ann, Peaches, and laurlind.

Thanks, helia. Exercising twice sounds very virtuous to me!
Can you trade db for another?
Bama, I read this as suggesting that I trade my db for another brother who give me sauce in better jars, LOL. I think I'll keep him, jars not withstanding.

You were very merciful to your dneighbours, kittykatt. I have heard that those slime products leave spots on the wall even though they are not supposed to.

Gma, I'm glad that your dmother does not have cancer. But I do think that you need to be gentler to yourself.

I have supper in the oven and since I have to wait for that, I put the dw on. It is 3/4 full of cutlery (it is a small countertop model and I wash everything else before I give in and wash cutlery). I am definitely flagging too.

Thursday
Cleaned up after dog X ∞
Put away clean laundry X 3
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed dishes
Filled both cutlery holders for the dw. Even if it is mostly a cutlery washer, it has earned its place in my house and heart. I loath washing cutlery.
Wiped down/put away breadmaker
Wiped down/put away rice maker
Put away small drying rack
Set up bread canister
Handwashed laundry
Washed hair
Hung handwashing to dry
Walked dog
Settled Germane in her pen
Grocery shopping
Put cold groceries away
Put supper in the oven
Load/start dw
Seasonal boot swap
Put away laundry
Put away drying rack
