Hi lann. You're probably almost done for the day. I guess we got the outside tasks done. I think I will try again with the greenhouse where it is. We took some extra pieces of our hardy plank siding and stood them under the tarp at the ground and pinned the edges down with soil. Poor design of sealing cold out. It was not. I might get some tape dh was talking about and tape the corners better. That should help. It finally started raining 430 or 5 ish.
Tomorrow can be inside tasks.

Making supper and off to practice. Shouldn't take too long.

hi, i never got here yesterday. I think the wolves were howling at the moon or something. Just about everything that could go wrong, did.
But today is a new day....
Have I reported that I am off my crutches? and it's going pretty well, tho I do't feel like I have full range of motion to my foot, nor is my posture what it shoud be, and my legs, after relying on crutches for almost 6 weeks, don't as strong as they were. I should put some "kinesiology" support tape on my foot - when I have an extra 15 mintues....
Our wonderfully warm (80s-90) days suddenly dropped to 40s and 50s. And mother's NH is cold, because they turned on the A/C and it's a big deal to turn it on, and off. She has had her room at 80 all winter, and can't get it above 72 right now. She is cold, and that causes confusion for her. She has fallen from her w/c twice. Not hurt, thank goodness. One of the aides told me maintenance came and turned the heat on in the hall, so it could radiate into the rooms. ARRGH If it's zoned, why not just turn it on in the patient rooms, where they reside, instead of in the hall where staff are walking????
forecast is cool all week. I'm hoping that we can actually have nice enough weather for out pontoon ride next Friday, Mother's 101 birthday.
Dlittle dog is spitting out the food I have offered her today. I'm torn between letting her tummy rest, as she did get quite a bit in yesterday, or going to the DQ and getting a hamburger to see if she will take that. I think I just might do that and just see if ther's interest. I won't force it. She is drinking and going potty.
Becasue it had been so hot here, I had turned mother's house to A/C, and forgot to turn heat back on when it got cold last night, so poor new tenant got cold overnight. But this morning I went up there soon after I got ddog's eye medicine regimen done, so she's warm enough now.
Then met with a friend of former tenant to give him a bag of things former tenant forgot.
We have had wind, rain, cold, and there were lots of twigs down in Mom's yard, so I raked some of those together,
Dson and grandson came to take apart queen size platform that held former tenant's bed, and put together the bed frame for new XL twin we bought for new tenant.
Now I hope everything is in order for new tenant - oops, she showed me where there were some ants, so I need to get an ant trap and/or poison, or terro - I have some of the REALLY old terro that has a tiny bit of arsenic in it. It is very effective, and only takes a few drops. I bet the bottle is 40 years old, and only half gone! They take it back to their colony and it kills off much of the colony. Well, I'll deal with that tomorrow.

I finally managed to load my dw, sweep a couple floors, and even wash worst part of K floor. If little dog wasn't so sick, I'd run the vacuum cleaner, but she is afraid of it, hates it, and I don't want to make her suffer from the noise.
Lat night I even managed to take a shower and wash my hair. Life shouldn't be so busy that I have had to choose between that and sleep - which I have desperately needed also.
It has felt like I have been hit with an avalanche for the past month+. Either I am getting used to it, or I am digging myself out from it bit by bit.

Next up will be to go to DQ for a hamburger for ddog (Yes, I know I could fry one, but she REALLY liked and eagerly ate the one she got from there a couple weeks ago)
then start my list of what is needed to bring to cabin for mother and for me.

helian, NH should know about transportation availability for w/c. Or county public health? Or local senior center? Or city hall? Or local police department?

She walked away from the hamburger. Hasn't eaten anything today. But she has been drinking. Is acting like she might have nausea. The nausea/ appetite pill I gave her yesterday left her sleepy, listless so I didn't give her one today. One last eye medicine, then we are going to bed. :(
