Well, a belated Happy Victoria Day to our northern neighbors! (I'm pretty sure you are all in the Eastern time zone, right? So it's after midnight for you.)
I have had a super long day, but * whew * not as long as you, Rose! (((BIG HUGS))) I feel sure the mold is contributing to all your symptoms and oh my goodness, I don't envy you all the repair work/time. But at least you will end up with a beautiful kitchen you love!
And now Harriet is having plumbing trouble... gosh... I hope this isn't spreading, ladies.
Cathy, you have inspired me to do better with dishes. I think this is day three of making sure the sink is empty when I go to bed. It really is a lot easier to wash one cup than it is to wait till half a dozen things are piled up.
Nancy, WTG -- you've been busy today!
Hope you feel better soon, (((Twins))). BTW -- I don't think UTI's go away on their own -- although if you've caught it early, you might try cranberry juice and that medicine someone recommended here long ago... I think my mom takes it now, but it's more of a preventative than a cure, I believe. ASO -- that's the name of it, isn't it? Aso.
Lauralind -- I can understand what you're talking about with parents and caregivers and all of that. We had people stay with dinlaws and -- like the story goes, when it was good it was very very good and when it was bad, it was horrid. And I am always thinking it will soon be time to deal with this with my dmom. My house is plenty big enough for her to move in with me, but dgrands are here so much they'd probably drive her crazy... and her house is big enough for me to move in there... but I am needed a lot for the dgrands... AND in the end, I just do not want to live with anyone else. And she doesn't either. So I just pray that she can remain independent.

Saying a prayer for you and your ds... the autism spectrum is sooo broad. I have a friend whose daughter is the same age as my dgs, and her child is totally nonverbal. It just breaks my heart for her. I laugh all the time and tell people, I was so worried that something was "wrong" with dgs because he was so slow to talk... and then he started and I don't think he has closed his mouth since he was three years old. He really is a lot like Young Sheldon -- CONSTANT trivia questions and "fun facts."
However, unlike Young Sheldon, he did not make the A-honor roll for the year -- he was on the A/B honor roll, with an 89 in... y'all ready? ENGLISH. I asked him if he had forgotten his Nana had a Master's degree and had taught English for 30 years. SMH...
OTOH... he got to stand up with the football team and the scholar's bowl team and tonight he was chosen for the all-star team in baseball. He has come sooo far since his first t-ball season when ddil felt she had to "explain" to coaches and everyone that he was "different," and she wanted to kinda prepare people for him. I don't mean to brag, it's just that I am just so thankful for him and how incredibly well his classmates and teammates, and teachers and coaches have taken to him.
LadyM -- I'll be praying for all to go well with ds and the wisdom teeth surgery.
I still have my wisdom teeth, but my brother had his out when he was in college. No problems, except my mom said he said all kinds of embarrassing things while he was coming out of the anesthesia -- like insisting on reading her the lyrics to songs he had written, which later horrified him -- a little too explicit for mom, you know. I wish she had filmed it, but that was before we all had cell phones. LOL.
(((Mystery))) Waiting like that for medical procedures is sooo annoying. It's like your time doesn't mean anything to them. I know emergencies happen, but that does not account for most of these hurry up and wait situations!
