Friday's list:
2 nurse appointments for me - one at 9.40 (I think - they keep texting me and changing the time  ) and the other at ?? (It would be sensible to have them one after the other, bit they don't seem to work that way  . I'll take a good book with me. )
Remember to take the printout of DH's email, so I can pick up DH's shoes from Mountain Warehouse
M&S Foodhall - chocolates for vet
Do I need anything else while I'm there?
Pick out outfit for this evening
Fold laundry and PA
Flea control F, J, M
Brush F
Clean shoes
Polish bag
Delicate / wool wash?
Feed kitties before we leave
6.45 pm leave for meal out with DH's amateur dramatic society committee members

Can I do something in my garden?

I'm sitting outside at a coffee shop with dh now. :D I'm responding to messages re: last session's exams. I'm going to start my exam prep for this session in a minute; I won't get far, but at least I'll have a start!

Bama, no, I don't get souvenirs. LOL! It's OK. He's very busy on his work travels and doesn't go shopping. He's a bit of a workaholic. I'm just happy to get him back home safely. You've got it - the mess is not the most important thing!
I missed the exploding dental machine, Kitty! Oh dear.
Hi Peaches.
L Ann, I have a small watermelon to try with dinner tonight. I love a good watermelon! I'm not very excited about rubbery/ non-flavorful ones.
That's thoughtful to think of donating Tutsi's food and meds, Gma!

Next:
- tidy kitchen
- gather everything for 3 stops (gym - payroll - Mom)
- otd by 7:40

Later:
- back exercises
- exam prep: start 1 exam
- other brain dump tasks?
- walk?
- probably early dinner: lemon thyme chicken, roasted zucchini, corn and black bean salad
- after dinner clean up
- duo
- update health apps (MFP, WW, Noom)
- read book for fun

TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- make bed
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- payroll: messaged re: parking; there's an available spot at the school around 9:15
- gather everything for 3 stops (gym - payroll - Mom)
- 8-9 work out with trainer
- payroll: dropped off books
- visited Mom - she was quite alert for her, awake most of the visit. She drank 2 Sunny Ds.
- home; started on piles
- lunch
- some qt
- kitchen tidied again
- piles on window seat gone through - I found a book I'd been looking for for over a year. LOL! (Hebrew textbook I used at the Univ. when I was a non-degree student about 10 years ago. Or more?)
- piles on the desk gone through
- messages with payroll re: more books found
- said Hi to dh when he arrived home and heard a little about his adventures
- to coffee shop
- payroll: reviewed 1 exam from last session with teacher's comment

Hi all. Home again. And I'm guessing dh will be soon too. The power is off. Think from a thunderstorm? It went off around 2 and tried coming back a couple times. Once just now. The store has battery backup but it will run out soon.

Now the fun part what to do for supper with no power. It's raining enough and I'm unsure of any lightning. Not sure if I want to walk yet.

I didn't finish this. Dh did come home. But the power came back on just before they left. It tried several times and didn't stay on . Weird one. Oh well it looks like I can cook supper now.

And I should keep working on strawberries. And hopefully get my twice baked potatoes prepped...lots to do tonight.

Kittykatt, I have not done much maintenance on any cat teeth unfortunately, which resulted in 2 having to have teeth pulled this year. They all came from outdoor lifestyles, pretty wild, and it wasn’t really in my radar. All I’ve seen is the brush that fits on the end of a finger and you swipe inside the mouth with a “toothpaste”, I’m not even sure of how often would benefit. I have seen treats that promise to scrape tartar off but is it a marketing tool or actually effective? Sorry I’m not familiar with any tips or tricks to help.

LAnn, we had fresh tomato sandwiches last night that hit the spot. I need to work on adding more vegetables to my diet and this should be the easiest time of year to do it.

Helia, so no T-shirt that reads “my husband went to Japan and all I got was this lousy tshirt”? lol. Yay for alert dmom, a small blessing. Hydration is a good thing. Do you video or photograph for memories? My dmom wasn’t one to have her photo taken, she’d always fuss her hair was a mess or some other excuse so we don’t have many.

Dh had to run to town to get a lawn mower tire patched after work and offered to pu dinner so I let him. We ate and tried to watch a show but our hot spot isn’t cooperating. Took the dogs for a walk and now back in cooling off waiting my turn for the shower. Then I think we will try the tv again. I know I know, so exciting.
Dhs sister did call and say lightning hit a tree on our property she lives on. It was already mostly dead so no big deal. The lightning did knock out her tv and coffee maker which she will have to replace but thankfully nothing too serious. We were trying to plan a trip up for yard work anyway so may head there Saturday, depending on weather and protests in our path. May just stay home since it’s Father’s Day weekend. Dd2 will be back Sunday I believe. Haven’t heard from dd1 in awhile so who knows what she has planned. Dh is happy with grilling and wants some kind of reverberating drill that I said we will look at when we go out.
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥
