Hi, all. I got off a little early, so I have made a start on the dishes. I was so pleased for that, then opened the door to find the pee pads already delivered--yay! but a note stuck in my door that they are doing the apartment inspections next week. My floor is scheduled for my last day of work. If they had just scheduled them a week later, I could have made decent progress on cleaning up the apartment. Instead it's just more pressure to flounder around during my last few days of work. Oh, well, just do what we can I guess.
We are on the same wavelength, Lauralind. I am wondering if Gma could cut her visits to her dmother to every second day so that she could take some time for herself, and also have a break from the constant stress of her mother's displeasure.
Woo hoo on the new fridge, Kittykatt.
Helia, Isabella is a pretty name. I hope that all continues to go well for the new baby.
Gma, that must have been heartbreaking to see your beautiful quilt in that state. I'm glad that you were able to get the stain out.

Re: Flamingo Friday
I googled till. Tylle: Old English, Anglo Saxon, for a compartment, especially one where money was kept. Old English "ended" with the Norman invasion in 1066. Tillen is middle English (1066-1500) is a drawer under the counter where money was kept. Both have something about counting in their meaning, so like counting the money.
Amazing the incidental info available on the internet!
I got to the preview of the quilt auction at 620. Supper was advertised until 7. Unfortunately, they ran out of hotdish at 615! And they had prepared for 100 more people than last year, because they ran out last year too. So I had a cup of coffee and visited with a few people. Then went to look at the REALLY beautiful quilts. Exquisite! There will be at least 2 that will bring $1500 each, maybe $2000. This is a fundraiser, so people bid generously. The quilt I made is just "cute" and very primitive in skill. But it was made with love. I'll put a sign on the wall by mom's bed, asking them to remove it when she has food or beverage. Cleaning it was A LOT of work! BTW, 5 years ago I was able to get the "best in show" quilt for my bedroom at the cabin. IT is truly a work of art, and I will love it for the rest of my life.
I was up very late last night, so I think I'll tuck myself in early tonight, and enjoy all the activities of tomorrow.

The quilts sound beautiful, Gma. I'm sorry that you missed out on the supper. Was there anything else to eat there, or did you have to wait until you got home?
