Visit from dgsC after school again. We're enjoying his new schedule that happens to find him over at our house sometimes. Shared an after-school snack with him.

Did some ironing and measuring for the sewing project.

LadyM, for me, the serendipity of a thrift store is very engaging, and I can spend time there easily, especially when actually asked to look for something (grand's tees). Yes, for instance in this store, I did notice several racks of shirts for women that seemed like classic cotton or cotton-blend type. It was my intention to go back and see what I could find in 100 percent cottons, but didn't get the chance. I'd probably buy those that others would not, though, even if oddly styled or even stained, because I'm also interested in "parts" - plackets of button-down shirts, or buttons with a different look, decorative bits.

One benefit of frequenting a thrift store like Goodwill is that you can "win" by seeing to it that they take more from you than you do from them, lol. Good for decluttering theory. I know I've bought some things I didn't "need", because I do want to be supportive, but then there are several utility items we use a lot in our house that came from shopping trips there.

We are one episode away from completing the first season of Ludwig. HRH says it is so much better than the mystery series I usually rope him into. Fascinating characters, for one thing, but the humor and the "comeuppance" for bullies and bad guys is satisfying. He asked me again what's going on with the second season, lol. (The second year/season is now in production during this month of Sept.)
