Dogged, we love our sun in the summer, and the long daylight hours. But we sure pay for it when autumn approaches, then winter even moreso, when it is dark here by 430. And our Canadian frineds have an even earlier sunset.

I'm back from a planning meeting for High School graduation reunion that is hpppening on Saturday. I am local, along with about 10 others, so we are part of the committee. I'm not sure I contributed anything, but I did show up.

And I think it's bedtime, so I can get up tomorrow and do some more planting, get more $ from one bank to the other so I can pay for my shingles next week.

You are right, Gma. I was thinking "surely the sun doesn't set before 5:00 pm here?" but I looked it up and in early January it does set at 4:30 pm where I am too.

Went to pet store. Tried out playpens and soft crate until we found the one advertised. Set it up.
The bottom had mold on it.
Set up another one: it was clean.
Bought it with my 20% off coupon.
Went to the grocery store in that mall. Went crazy spending much too long buying everything in the store. Got many things on my shopping list.
Packed the groceries in the car.
Went to the bakery in the same shopping centre and got a Lebanese pastry (beef and onion in puff pastry). Had a bit of it in the car, as I was starting to get a little vague and wobbly.
Home again, home again, jiggety jig
Brought up the first load of groceries
Freed my very good dog who was NOT howling until she heard me coming up the hall and then quieted right down to receive praise for being a good quiet girl. It must have been some other dog I heard.
Treat for Germane
Put away cold groceries
Ate some more of my Lebanese pastry

Checked receipt. It’s accurate, more’s the pity as I managed to spend $150 just on the groceries.
Stealth mini grooming session for Germane: I pet her vigorously enough to clean up her eyes a bit.
Bagged kitchen garbage, set up the hand truck
Brought all with Germane to the garbage chute
Brought Germane and cart to the car
Loaded the rest of the purchases
Carried Germane back up with them, because she kept getting in front of the cart and stopping, and fell off of the sidewalk
