Re: Write it Down Wednesday PWYC

Oh yes, I am amazing at "writing it down."
Actually DOING what is written... not so much.
Again, I did not practice "perfect day begins at night," so here I am -- in yesterday's clothes, no bra, no shower, and it is 2:43 CST.
Oh the plus side,
I have
-- tidied the bed
-- stretched/5 minute exercise
-- put a load of clothes in the washer
-- have the second dozen cookies in the oven
I decided I would get busy at something and stop at 4:30/5:00 to get ready for church.

Getting back to work is a good way to handle stress and anxiety, blessed. My daunt, who always seems to be the calmest, most "together" person I know told me that is how she handles times when she gets worried. She has more reasons to worry or be depressed that most of the people in my family.
My dad was like that too -- he could NEVER be still. But he was a worrier, about some things. Other things, he never thought about... as far as stress, dmom and I said he didn't have it; he was a "carrier."
Oh -- and I also called the bank. I had received checks a few weeks ago that were skipping some numbers. Afraid they were lost in the mail, I called and told them to put a notice on my account. Well, the missing checks arrived yesterday. Glad that is solved. I still have an $82 check to the pest control people that has never been found. The post office is really falling down on the job.
AND as of last month, my bank still thinks I have $400 more than I can account for. That's a good problem to have.
Oh -- and I got a little raise in my retirement check -- maybe $20? Every little bit helps, you know.
I'm so glad your dd is enjoying writing, LadyM! She sounds like such a good student! Did you tell me she is in 9th grade this year? (That was what I taught for all of my 30 years.)
I must look up your 3x5 notebook.
WTG to your House Fairy, Twins! I'm impressed!
BTW -- did you see my conversation with Harriet re: the missing tombstone? Just thought you might have run into situations with your research. It's a mystery. I may just call those people whose names are listed re: opening graves. I could truthfully tell them that I have a friend of the deceased who is puzzled, because the older man I've told y'all about, my friend's dad, would certainly be upset if he knew.
I am so glad your dgd is doing so well, Nancy! Sounds like she is making excellent progress.
So NOT GLAD to hear about the gate! Hope y'all get that cleared up soon. Putting your own lock on it is an excellent idea!
"See it, do it" is a great plan, Rose! Around here, all too often I tend to "see it, put it off." I knew when I retired that I would not do well with no bells ringing to tell me what to do next. Now without even dh to help order my day, I'm really at a loss.
DS called to chat while he was in the car rider line. I was able to give him a heads up, re: supper tonight at church. Chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. We both plan to eat before we go. I can probably truthfully say I ate too much cookie dough and don't need to trust my stomach. I'll eat something afterwards.
Hope you have a productive afternoon at HRH's desk, Harriet!
Yes -- I hope Cathy's dh isn't having a bad week.
I wish I could say I pushed through and got my cards done, but y'all know me.
I am going to keep at it though, till at least 4:30. This post has taken an hour because I kept stopping to swap cookie sheets, and to talk to DS, and to get clothes out of washer.
I have 30-45 minutes before I have to s2s for church. Maybe I can vacuum something in that time. See y'all later!
blessed (((HUGS))) I just hate this for you. You and your daughters are obviously spending more time with your dmom and it just makes ME very angry that your brother told you that you can not ask questions! I'm glad he's not acting angry ATM... but he sure is making me angry.

I woke up feeling drained and went back to sleep. I wish I could find SOMETHING that would motivate me.I woke up feeling drained and could have easily gone back to sleep. But as all moms know, sometimes you just can't do what you want... started working on my cards. Having them set up in a habit stack format really helps on days when I don't feel like doing them. Completing the cards efficiently is what keeps me motivated to push through and get them done.
