What a lovely day! It's the kind of day that you picture when you fantasize about retirement.
First was the concert. It was the French horn section of our local symphony. I loved the show that they put together. They gave little talks between the music, explaining how the French horn works, its history, etc. It was in a very nice studio of the theatre, which is in what I believe was the City Of Nepean's City Hall, before Ottawa ate Nepean, so a nice building. The theatre was well supported by volunteers who acted as ushers and offered coffee and strudel after the concert, where I had the chance to thank a few of the performers. I'm definitely going to be watching this programme for future concerts.

In the same building is a library branch that is much bigger than the one that I normally go to. I had been meaning to go sometime and pick up a Tintin book in French for practice. Most of my afternoon was actually passed in the library. I checked out all three floors, as the Tintin book was in the adult section on the main floor, the Tintin DVDs were in the basement in the children's section, and the crochet books were upstairs in non-fiction. I think that I got my steps in.

I remembered that the only place near me that sells the eggs from Ottawa valley was close by, so I searched online until I found the business again. It showed as close by. Then it was a very confusing time, as Google Maps kept trying to switch me to walking rather than driving, and I could see two of the businesses from Google Maps and it showed the butcher in between. I finally realized that my parking lot abutted the parking lot for the strip mall where the butcher was, and I was looking at the back of the building. Google Maps tried six ways to Sunday to tell me "You are already there!"
So I got my eggs and a sausage roll.

I had no idea how behind the times I am on technology, helia. It makes perfect sense that they would use tech instead of volunteer spotters at the finish line. I'm sure that it is more accurate.
