Thursday
Put away dry dishes
Cleaned up after dog
Updated goals list
Dusted
Swept
Washed floor
Washed hair

Bama, I'm always a little afraid to post what I'm going to do next, because I always seem to do the opposite! That said, I have had my shower and washed my hair, and next I'm planning a mile-high breakfast sandwich. I have the crust from the whole wheat loaf left, and it looks sturdy enough to hold up under egg with vegetables and cottage roll.

We'll take good news in any form it comes, helia. I'm glad that Little I is out of the NICU, and that there's a plan in place for progress.
I'm not sure about the weather. I read earlier than it is the very outside edge of Melissa, and that's what it looks like in Ventusky, but later I read that it's from an unrelated Texas low.

Hmm..... Not sure where our gray came from then - maybe Texas. We're supposed to have sunshine tomorrow, Doggedly. That's all that matters here! :) Yeah, I keep doing things other than what I said I was going to do. At least I'm doing something! LOL!
I'm jetlagging the other direction, Bama. My body is 3 hours behind - so 9 pm feels like 6 pm. I do need an earlier night than last night, though, so I can get up at a decent hour in the morning.

It's a little after 5, but I'm heading out to jog next. No excuses! I'll start laundry when I get back.

Next:
- jog
- s2s and self care
-squeegee and wipe down shower

Done:
- some qt
- back exercises
- ordered a new running hat + toiletries I'm out of
- completely unpacked!
- dressed to jog and charging my phone
- laundry separated

Doggedly, I’m with you on not wanting to predict what I will do next. Some days I don’t have a clue and wander into some project and some days I have to go by whatever I wrote down or I won’t do anything. Your sandwich sounds sublime.

Helia, you’re in your own time zone for now lol. Enjoy the jog.

We are gray and thundering all day. When I asked dh about it yesterday, same weather as today, he said no. Are we all getting Texas weather leftovers?

I could do without so much gray but I did lower the screens to enjoy the cool temperature. It’s very nice outside. So of course I decided to work inside.

A newish dfriend called and we chatted while I worked. She’s 84, hard of hearing, but is a delight, she will chat and chat with her funny stories of what’s going on in her life and I mostly listen. She runs the local women’s auction and has to friend everyone in the group so she knows everyone is trustworthy. A blessing to me for sure.

Rearranged lr furniture, vacuumed again, dusted bookshelf

Still more to do in the lr but dh just walked in so it’s up in the air. I’ll check in later if I make any progress.

Hello, everyone!

FFB, your lunch sounded delicious, and what a good idea to involve the DBoys. I'm glad DS 7 is starting to feel better.

Helia, that's good news about Baby I. I read your going to hand out Halloween candy at the Girls' place tomorrow, which reminded me of a funny incident earlier. G 13yo and a little friend decided it would be a good idea to "practice" for Halloween so rung the doorbell and announced , "Trick or Treat"! Waitrose hadn't yet delivered, so I didn't have anything sweet to give them, but they seemed happy with an apple apiece . However when they went back home, DF CW was not amused, and gave them a good telling off, as she did not accept their excuse that they were "practising" for Halloween!

L.Ann, LOL at Little Bit not being interested in kitchen renovations!

Bama, what a good idea to set up a box for donations. I've heard the expression "with bells on" to indicate something extra or special, but tlnot the full expression before.

Dogged, your mile high sandwich sounds very sustaining!

It's been a good day. Parish lunch went very well (thank you all for your good wishes!) Everyone turned up on time and enjoyed what they had ordered. Afterwards I walked into town and found some leather trainers with 25% off, so that was successful too. And the rain held off until this evening. Everyone has been fed and the groceries have been delivered and PA.

Enjoy your job, helia.
I'm leaning toward leaving laundry until tomorrow in case we lose power tonight. My building seems to be on a particularly good power grid, so it's usually other areas that lose their power, but we are expecting significant rainfall between tonight and tomorrow morning.

That was a good day, Kittykatt, and even the weather cooperated. I'm glad that the parish lunch went so well. You put in a good effort making it nice, so it's gratifying when it's appreciated.
Woo hoo on new shoes on sale.

Thank you, Dogged! The next parish lunch will be the Christmas buffet at church. I hope you keep power.

Bed time for me now!

Thinking ahead for tomorrow:
Get up early!
Once it's light, find that box in the garage that has sold on eBay
Check tape and email it's still sealed well.
Leave in kitchen for DH to hand to postman when he calls.
Remind DH of this before I leave
Remind DH that the postie will bring the label, so no need for him to worry about it.
Leave sellotape near box in case the label doesn't want to stick!
Leave house at 9 am!
Remember to give DF CW the money for the raffle tickets
Continue search for new freezer - ours is 25+ years and isn't behaving quite as it should (it's still cold, but is producing a LOT of ice. Much more than usual). The replacement is definitely going to be frost free - I've informed DH that's non negotiable!
