(((LucyLee)))) I am happy to hear your root canal went as well as it could.

When we woke up this morning the temperature inside of the house was 63F. I am so thankful it took less than a minute to flip the setting from a/c to heat on the HVAC units. I do appreciate technology that makes changing the temperature inside the home so simple to accomplish.

DD14 has autism related doctor appt after school today.

Dentist office called to confirm 3 appts on Monday. Check.
Family doc office sent a text reminding that it is time for DD14 yearly wellness check. I wonder if that could be combined in today's doctor visit? hum....
I need to contact medical equipment place about getting DH a cpap mask replacement. My reminder card says it has been 90 days since last time.

After lunch CI /
Walked to both corners.
Toms did not get frosted yea!
More knitting got the the main part past the border edge yea!
Got the knitting to 3" yea! It's my therapy!
Got my steps in doing circle walking inside for the last of them while
chatting with my dsis.
-----
I found an extra batt on the vest and once I took it off I realized it will
be easier than I thought it might. I've repinned it.
That helped me to realize that. Yea!

I pinned the vest and it's ready to start seaming up.
So I can work on it tomorrow.

Thank you for the "review" of the entertainment of the root canal, lucylee. I always appreciate your reviews of movies, tv. And in the future, I may need a root canal, so good to know it may not be so ... .. well, how it sounds.

The day of medical was mixed, but more positive than negative and HRH was especially pleased for me. We both loved the part about "you can go home now" instead of "stay for hours".

He took me out to eat afterwards - haven't done that in so long we couldn't remember how long but did remember which restaurant. This time to a local oriental place that he likes. A good meal, although the service was awful because of inexperience, not meaning to be bad. HRH tipped in his usual generous way, feeling sorry for the new employee, who was having to take meals back to kitchen around us.

We picked up one script for each of us, so that errand is done.

Back home, I went straight to the sewing machine, I admit. Comfort activity after stress/social-ing, maybe.

i think we'll need a picture, LadyM! Wonderful that dd was so creative with attention to what was appropriate too.

On my way to workout in a minute. House is quiet for a second and I'm savoring it. Dh and dh houseguest are out - went to TopGolf to hit some golf balls. dhouseguest wife is napping. We went to an antique/vintage mall this morning and wandered through.

And of course I got distracted and didn't post this earlier....

I had a great workout. My back has been seriously achy and dtrainer had me stretch and she "stretched" me too. My back feels better than it has in a while. And I had a good strength workout. (I don't know why I won't stretch at home.)

Dh is home, houseguests have gone to Talbots to shop. I need to walk the ddog but she's outside and not complaining so I'll wait a bit. And I need to take my shower now that I've worked out.

just came home from errands - came home and said hello to mom and - she asked "how did you find me?"- broke my heart that she worries that she is alone. it's weird that she great this morning and then looks tremendously weak and old later on.

picked up cleaning and dropped off cleaning
mail French christmas cards at the post office - I am glad that I had mom work on those cards especially the one for her cousin.
stopped at hallmark for christmas paper and they hardly had any. I did pick up an ornament - a yearly one for the family.
picked up lasagna at Biaggi's for mom and she decided she doesn't like it any more. she loved their onion soup and she didn't like that at all.
mailed a package for gr. nephew - I haven't been able to get it to him

nut free candy came in for christmas for dd younger.

I have been looking to have my dd's and I do a cookie decorating class - I will see if I can find one or better, I will look for a class online. (I can be near mom).
dd younger will come with me for a wood working class but I can't go to far away bc of mom.

Blessed, I know it has to be nerve-wracking to watch your dmom go up and down, up and down. But I am thankful you are still having good moments that you and your dmom can enjoy.

LOL at Harriet enjoying my "review" of the day. I left out one thing -- it did not seem that he used the drill too long, long enough -- don't get me wrong -- but considering that he was drilling through a porcelain crown (and thank goodness, the crown did not crack!) -- but it is an odd sensation to see SMOKE rising from one's mouth. I know drilling creates a lot of friction and they spray water to keep things cool, but I have never noticed SMOKE rising from my mouth before. Of course, no feeling of heat or pain or anything, just that odd sight.
I came straight home (orders not to eat for an hour) and prepared my fruit tray for the funeral meal -- this only involved putting two grocery store trays together in my chip/dip serving dish -- and went to the funeral. I was up there by 12:30 and got back home around 4:30. It was a LONG evening, but I enjoy being with all the ladies at church, so I didn't mind doing it. Still no pain.
After I left the church, I got the new Rx filled (today's dentist wanted me to take Keflex instead of Z-pack, and I am just hoping sooo much that it will not upset my stomach! Some antibiotics do.) Stopped at the post office, and came home. I fell asleep for about an hour, and when I woke up, I was beginning to have some achiness in the left side of my face, so I took the recommended Tylenol/Aleve combination and I'm waiting for it to take effect now.
If it's not feeling better in an hour or so, I'll take some Norco. (They said that would be fine, after starting to write Rx for Tylenol 3.

Considering that I was on my feet for the most part of the afternoon, I think I'm doing pretty well.
Thursday night is one of my favorite TV nights, so I'm very satisfied to sit here and rest.

Twins, I hope all goes well with your houseguests.

Oh -- y'all remember that my dbro called and wanted to bring his dbil along for Thanksgiving? Well -- last night he talked to my dmom and said NONE of them may be able to come for Thanksgiving! He is on a group of people who are responsible for some major hiring decisions at his job, and he said if that is not completed by Tgiving, he may not be able to come. Also that the bil may back out anyway, although dbro's wife really wants him to come with them if they get to come.
If they do not come, it will likely be January before they make the trip. Especially with the situation with air traffic controllers and flights * which SURELY TO GOODNESS will be better by then! * Dbro just doesn't want to try to schedule Christmas trips anymore. I don't know how my mother handles it, except today, she seemed to think it had been just in the past year that he was home a couple times for funerals. The funerals were a 18 months ago, but I think they did come home last Thanksgiving.

Talking about Nancy's tomatoes -- we have a freeze warning tonight, first of the season, I think. I don't have any plants except the three new trees. The dogwood doesn't look very healthy but I think the maples will be okay. I probably need to put some mulch around their base.

LadyM, I hope all went well with dd's appointments. WTG to her for getting her costume together and keeping it PG! :D
It's pretty cool in my house in the mornings too, but I have the heat set at 72. I do not want it to get any hotter than that because we're still having some warm days and I hate to be going up and down with it all the time. 72 is fine when one is fully dressed and up and about, but it is sooo hard to put myself out of a warm cozy bed in the mornings.
Hmmm... heat just kicked on again right now. It's pretty cool outside -- 45/feels like 42. I know DS and DGS are cold at the ballgame they are watching. It will be cold tomorrow night for our final game of the season.

I'm probably going to sign off for the night. It's been a pretty long day.
