I think I have the house insurance figured out. Maybe. With so much going on I can't stay focused on it for more than 5 minutes or so. I need uninterrupted time to make sure it is what we need. I am going to let it simmer in my thoughts overnight and I'll take another look at it tomorrow to verify it is covering everything.

DS17 is doing too much IMHO. He is still feeding cattle at 6pm (after dark) while arraigning for a friend to come here and use a torch to cut 4 bolts off the truck he has for sale. While at the same time the buyer for the truck is arriving. DH and I go to open the shop door so everyone can have access to the truck. I find one of the tires is almost flat so plug in the portable air compressor to put air into it. All during this I am texting DS17 letting him know what is happening. FINALLY DS17 arrives home and we can leave the shop and the people who are looking at his truck.

BTW - if anyone is looking for a handy Christmas gift - I highly recommend this . I know nothing about these devices but I do know this little automatic air pump has saved us a couple of times. It is super simple to use.

LadyM, I got myself a small air pump like that for a Christmas gift to myself. DS keeps our air compressor at his house all the time because he has more need for it, but I just kept thinking I needed this -- I need to air up a basketball, football, etc... and occasionally, a tire. I don't know if mine is the same brand as yours, but it looks similar.
I am also very interested in the small pressure washer I've been seeing on tv. I wonder if it is too good to be true.
My 4" chainsaw was great for a while, but it is currently out of commission. Seems like the chain is jammed. I'm going to ask the man who mows the yard to look at it for me.
OH -- when I read "a few things were broken" I immediately thought "OH NO!!!" but I am glad to see LordM isn't broken!

Yes, blessed -- that's terrible that the ER visit isn't covered! Maybe Harriet's suggestion will work for y'all too. DS and DDIL have had to pay out of pocket for some things lately because they got caught in a gap between changing insurance. Their health insurance went through the roof at ddil's employment so they dropped family coverage there and got on the marketplace for DS and a state plan for dgrands. They are hoping they can be reimbursed for some recent visits.

(((Twins))) I can imagine those DAR instructions do make your head swim. I have a (distant) cousin who is in DAR. She dropped out of our teacher group because she is secretary of the DAR chapter and she said it took too much of her time. (I really don't think it would interfere with the teacher group -- we're pretty low-key. All she had to do for us was show up for an hour or so at lunch once a month. But I could tell from listening to her that DAR is pretty picky about everything.)

Mystery -- I didn't even stop at the drug store because it was raining and I can wait till tomorrow.

I think the rain is supposed to stop tomorrow, but weather girl said it would be windy and CHILLY. I'm already tired of winter, LOL.

Nancy, I still have not added to my decorations, and I haven't wrapped anything. I did buy Christmas stamps today -- that's progress!

Have y'all seen the Amazon commercial where the three ladies sled down the hill and in part of it, they look like children again? I love that commercial.

I did sort some papers and actually decluttered a few.
Second load of laundry is washing now.
I've eaten supper and now I want to go back to sleep. (and I slept super-super late, even for me!

Talked to DS and dmom... listened to press conference with AU's new football coach.

Did first lesson on an app that is supposed to teach me to stop procrastinating.

LucyLee that commercial is why dh wanted to go buy a black foam/rubber chair cushion!! He kept saying "watch this! Watch! Did you see that?" After numerous attempts to figure out what I was supposed to be seeing, I told dh we would go to a specialty store for wheelchair seats. That's what they looked like to me because I had seen so many back when I was transporting wheelchairs (and the mostly wonderful people in them). We ended up with a "roho" cushion.

Cathy, I hope your dh gets to enjoy his cushion as much as those three ladies!

Y’all, I have slept just about ALL day! I guess I’m just recuperating from being “on” for so long with dgrands. When Christmas holidays start, I’ve got to build in some time for me, otherwise dgs will just move in with me, LOL.
I am just in awe of how you manage your household, LadyM!

I need to take care of some laundry and then reconcile the checkbook/statement.

EDITING -- 1:47 a.m.
The bank statement is "reconciled." I am using quotes because it is STILL $400+ above what I think I have. Almost exactly to the penny for the last 10 months. SMH. I'm just letting it ride, and if it's still like this in a few years, when I get ready to get a new vehicle, I will give it back to myself and spend it. But it is certainly the strangest thing that has ever happened in my financial life, LOL.

Speaking of finances... I'm debating with myself re: paying for the football tickets -- not whether or not to get them, because that's just non-negotiable, in my mind, at least until dgrands go to college. DBIL will pay his half at the end of the year. He will give me the whole portion (half) that he owes, but I can set up payments. I pay the whole thing in payments... but I have enough in the bank that it would be possible to pay it all at once. OTOH, I can set up payments and pay it in three months, or six months, whatever. No interest fee or anything, it's just whether or not I want to take it out all at once, or have my credit card higher each month, sorta dribbling it out. Last year I did payments. It's not something I have to decide immediately.

I also have the laundry put away or on hangers to dry.
Took my shower and PUPA in the den.
Tomorrow, I plan to get out of bed and get some things done that I neglected today -- because I was so lazy.
I need to go to the drug store, the library, and make a phone call to the agricultural office that is supposed to be paying me for these trees.
If it ever quits raining, I need to go put out some solar path lights for dmom.
