Good options on the glassware Dogged.
I am not sure this will help you but I have been told that donation centers wash clothing items before putting them on the sales floor. Now whether they do or not, idk.

What a day. It's almost 5 pm. I still need to exercise, but I've gotten a lot done. --And this sat here while I pulled together a rudimentary Cmas list.

Hi Peaches!
I do a lot of online shopping too, Bama.
Glad dh could help out chauffeuring the kids around, trissie.
That's quite some wind, Doggedly. Please don't get blown off the planet.

I need to start cooking in 30-45 minutes. I could go outside and walk around, although it will be completely dark in about 15 minutes. Or I could go to the gym and exercise for about 15 minutes. . . Hmm....What will I do?

Next:
- some qt
- back exercises
- s2s and self care

Later:
- write another thank you card
- go for a walk/ go to the gym
- dinner: chicken cacciatore, rice, green beans
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps
- text reply to DS
- read?

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - same very big number :?
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website: 18F now with a forecast high of 28; gray
- letters in the mail
- payroll: prepped AAS D5
- pest control here
- reclaimed kitchen
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped down shower
- made the bed
- Kroger order
- wrote card for B
- 11-1 bday lunch with B
- payroll: graded HW3 + stragglers
- 1:30 - 3:30 payroll: taught AAS D5
- put away groceries
- wrote rudimentary Cmas list on the Cmas document

Wtg, friends!

I hope your Christmas list isn’t too daunting, helia.

Does anyone remember the “invisible dog” toys from around the 70s? It was basically a leash and harness with wire to hold it stiff and you held it out as you walked like you were walking an invisible dog? That just popped in my head for no reason.

Yes Dogged and Germane, please stay anchored. Our wind is brutal, I can’t imagine wind colder, does it eventually all feel the same once you reach a certain temperature? 🥶

My tummy has been upset so limiting myself to easy chores. Dc the bathroom cabinet under the sink and organizing papers and news magazines from dh’s tribe. Achieving those tadas has lifted my mood somewhat. I need to walk the dogs before it gets too dark.

Wednesday List:
To Do:
✔️Bible - read daily verse and meaning on app or start advent book? (Read Christmas plan John 1:1-18, Galatians 4:4-5, Deuteronomy 18:15-18)

Check date on cottage cheese
Make muffin mix
Find recipe for and make tea cakes
Boil eggs
Make pecan pie

Bathrooms -
✔️Dc under sink cabinet, got rid of 2016 rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide although I’m wondering do they really go bad

Take down hummingbird feeders, wash, store

Bama, oh, this is my Christmas wish list. LOL! It's not too long. One of the ways we help each other is provide lists - with links for online ordering when that's possible. This makes it simple and organized. Of course, we also buy gifts that are not on the lists. Last weekend, Dd27 sent out a google doc with 9 tabs, one for each person with whom we'll be celebrating Christmas. She also sent out a spreadsheet with a tab for each person for others to record what they bought that person so that we don't all get Suzy the same gift from her list. :D

I am not exercising. Instead, I ordered 2 gifts for M (1 from her list, one not), and I posted HW for my class. I'm going to process the load of darks and then work on dinner next.

I don't know, Bama. I keep reading on reddit posts from thrift shop volunteers asking people to wash the clothes first because they don't have the manpower or facilities. It probably varies from one organization to another, but I think that it might be less common for them to wash them now. I just don't want to be adding to their burdens.
So the sheets never arrived, eh? I remember that you received something unexpected when you were expecting sheets. I think that Amazon's return policies are good so have high hopes that this will get sorted for you.

Go, Peaches!

Reports of my wind are greatly exaggerated, helia. Germane was able to keep contact with the sidewalk. Until I picked her up and carried her home.
Oh, another mystery for us to solve. Will helia exercise outside, or will helia go to the gym? Are there clues for us to follow? Or have I just been watching too many mysteries in a row?

I do remember the invisible dog, Bama.

Ah, mystery solved. helia is working on Christmas gifts. Very well organized, may I say.

This is a perfect night to stay in my apartment. The elevator didn't want to let Germane and me out. The door opened one inch and then just stayed there as though it found its happy place. After a few minutes of my trying Door Open and Door Close and the alarm, it decided that we were going up so I took my chance and got off at ground and walked Germane.

Wednesday
Cleaned up after dog X 2
Breakfast for Germane
Checked grocery prices online
Put away dry dishes
Put on a pot of coffee
Gathered blue box recycling
Shopped online
Misc tidying
Walked Germane
Brought garbage to chute

Thought I’d be able to post this evening but Little Bit and I went to the small town to take pics of the gingerbread men that have replaced the scarecrows and then did the library scavenger hunt. Then DGD12 needed help with algebra stuff over the phone…. So I am done for the night!

Helia, a wish list is very thoughtful. All I get is “I don’t know” when I ask so it’s a guessing game.

Dogged, I’m glad your walk is over. That elevator sounds scary.

Good night LAnn.

I’ve cooked and cleaned all I’m going to. Watching Shakespeare and Hathaway until it’s time to tuck dh in. ;)

Sounds like a fun evening, L.Ann.

We had Shakespeare and Hathaway here last night, Bama. Tonight it's the Marlowe Mystery Club and Wycliffe.

Oh. My. Goodness. Winter Swimming!
I don't even like winter walking, LOL. I'm not talking about walking for my health; I'm talking about walking into the post office. I do not like really cold weather (and I'm not crazy about really hot weather, either.) Google says weather here in North Alabama ranges from 88 in July to 32 in January. However, we often have days that reach 100 degrees and as I reported in PWYC, we are in the 20s tonight! Average snowfall is 2.4 inches -- but we do have more occasionally. It never stays long though. Record high statewide is 114, record low -27. (These are Fahrenheit temps.)
Bama gets more of the warmer weather than I do -- but it has snowed where you are, hasn't it, Bama?
And I have heard that Mobile, AL (which is right on the Gulf of Mexico) is the second wettest city in the USA, second only to Seattle, Washington.
Anyway, fortunately, the weather IS pretty changeable in Alabama, and maybe this cold snap won't last too long. Our town has a Christmas parade Friday night, and I hope it is not uncomfortably cold.

We do have some folks that always do a Polar Bear Plunge on New Year's Day in the town next to me, which is on the river. I have never even gone to watch!

Helia -- how is the baby doing?

Waving hello to you all!
Tomorrow is another day.
