Are you still jogging, helia?\
Sorry to hear about the phone, kittykatt - I'd be really stressed...
Some kids and adults are hypersensitive to caffeine, trissie - it's good that you are aware now, so you can prevent future issues...
LAnn you read a lot! :D

Back from the stores, pup is resting:) (she was VERY good). LOL advanced.
Next:
DGD is joining me for a while...

KitKat, I would be really stressed too, if I had lost my phone. I think k I'm farore stressed about DH losing his phone than he is. Or maybe tomorrow when the alcohol has worn off, the full picture of what has happened will sink in with him. Ive tried ringing it a few times, but it just goes to voicemail.

There's nothing more I can do about it tonight,.and I'm tucked up in bed with the electric blanket on.

Night night, everyone!

Hello, all. I am sliding in late, but can still get some things done. I made it to Pet Valu to benefit from their Seniors Day discount; higher than usual because of the season. I bought a real variety of foods for Germane, all Limited Ingredient, no chicken or beef. Right now, there are three open cans in the fridge, only one of which she wants. But yesterday she liked the other one, so she might like it again tomorrow. A girl can dream.

I did CUOP, but I'm a bit late to do individual replies.

Thank you, Kittykatt. I see that you are well acquainted with the dynamics of group projects, and strategize so that you don't have to look at a half-painted fence all winter.

Waving to trissie, kitkat, L.Ann, helia, FrenchFly, and Peaches

Saturday
Treat for Germane: Germane has made it clear that the Performatrin Duck And Pea dog food that was delicious last night is now unacceptable and she shall not be moved.
Cleaned up after Germane
Tried Go! Duck: it is exquisite. For now.
Gave Germane her Benedryl
Cleaned up after Germane
Snuck in some vet food into the good dog food to try to keep her regular. Still delish. For now
Made breakfast
Spiffed self
Papered dog’s pen
Went to pet store for Seniors Day. Bought a variety of foods for Germane.
Went to Giant Tiger and bought some groceries
Brought up purchases
Freed my delighted dog

L Ann, I don't read much nonfiction either, though I do listen to some nonfiction audiobooks. I do read some nonfiction, but it tends to be faith-based and/or somewhat psychological.
WTG on the well-behaved pup, kitkat! Enjoy DGD. I'm jogging a little bit, but only about 2-3 miles at a time, so not very long.
I hope you enjoy a long cozy sleep, Kitty!
Oh, Germane. Duck is somewhat of a delicacy, imho. LOL! Glad she's eating something, Doggedly.

Sitting by the fire drinking my tea. Finally. . . Just finished after dinner clean up and spiffed the guest bedroom a bit. RH will need to use his pillows and blankets on his bed in the new room. I've laid out clean sheets and bedding, but I'm going to let them put it on. They're adults, and I'm not running a hotel. LOL! I didn't even know KE was coming until last week, and I didn't know she was staying through Jan. 2nd until 2 days ago. So it goes in my life sometimes. I did vacuum the room as well as cleaned out the garbage can which I thought was filthy. I also cleaned the mirror in the main bathroom, which dh and I will now share with them. We do have our own private toilet and sink.

Some Goals for Today:
1. Exercise - jog outside this afternoon when it's a little warmer
2. Get yarn spun at yarn store (if I can bring it back to do that)

3. payroll: curriculum review
4. finish Mem. Thank yous - only 2 left
5. Finish wrapping gifts - wip
6. pay property taxes
7. update charitable giving for the year

8. Bedroom tidy
9. Towels: w d f pa
10. Prep 2nd guest room for RH and KE - put bedding out. They can make the beds themselves. - IN progress.
11. Groceries - order or go get them. - ordered

12. Shoes - last night
13. Start packing?

Next:
- duolingo
- update health apps
- KE will arrive at some point
~ 9 pm, shoes night #4

TaDas!
- up; weighed - a little less than yesterday but still very high
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- said good bye to M who is out for the day
- paid taxes
- taxes and thank yous to the mail box
- caught up on giving
- email to DF - I wasn't sure if he was still working for a nonprofit; he is not
- checked bank accounts
- started qt; was interrupted by dh
- load of towels washing
- helped dh label gifts he wrapped
- lunch
- dw: loaded and running
- called yarn store - no one picked up
- 2nd phone call to yarn store - yes, I can stop by and they will spin it for me
- forgotten lol left in the dryer folded and put away
- found new mattress pad + clean sheets for 2nd bed in guest room for RH and KE.
- finished QT
- towels 1: drying and towels 2: washing
- texts with AC --> I can take next session off! :D I will need a break to recover from my break.
- family texts; I am not going to worry about the ingredients for the pannekoeken. Someone else can do that.
- phone call with dh; sent info to dd27 for RH's surprise gift
- Kroger order -- to be delivered tomorrow morning
- back exercises
- dressed to jog
- yarn store: got the 2nd skein spun! SO nice!
- post office: I missed the 3 pm closing at our local place to put the package in the mail (I don't do that at the regular p.o.) but I put one charitable giving check in the mail there
- gym: jogged over 2 miles because I forgot that this track is 8 laps to a mile while the other gym is 12. I was counting 12 laps to a mile and was wondering why I was going so slow. :D
- finished unloading the dw
- towels load 2 in the dryer
- folded and p/a some of the towels in load 1
- brought in wood for a fire
- dh got dinner: kima from the freezer, rice, and some of dd30's pickled cabbage
- after dinner clean up
- guest room prep: got a clean mattress pad on 1 bed
- guest room prep: laid out bedding for the 2 beds in the guest room
- guest room prep: vacuumed
- guest room prep: washed the garbage can
- guest room prep (I guess): cleaned the main bathroom mirror

WAving right back, Dogged:) I had a dog on Benadryl, too, once upon a time...
helia - that is still a good jog... I can't get any distance. I'm happy if we are walking :)

Well, DGD left late, I managed to adv. some laundry. Fed us dinner.
It's time to read:)
See you all tomorrow.

I think that you have done plenty for RH and KE, helia, especially has he hasn't been very considerate about asking your permission as hostess. Hopefully the rest of the holiday will go well.

Good night, kitkat!

I started watching The Avengers, which I had taped, but found it too boring to go on with. I think that I will tackle the bathtub clog. I have removed any hair that I could get hold of, which helped. Now I am going to carefully pour down some caustic stuff and see how it likes that.

It seems you're doing yoga too, kitkat.
RH is just young, I think, Doggedly - still in grad school. Also, dh is part of the problem. He actually suggested to RH that he stay in the house while we're away - until Jan 2nd. Dh just forgot to let me know AND to check with M who will be in the house with them while we're gone. So, I think dh and I haven't done our best communicating with all this. M is OK with it; she knows RH and KE as they were here last Christmas too. But she had been planning to spend the week that we are out of town hermiting. That's not really possible now. I did move RH upstairs where there are 2 beds in 1 room and where they won't be using M's bathroom to give her more privacy. --Did you get the bathtub unclogged?

Not much more done - but we did welcome KE here and do shoes night #4.

I'm going to do duolingo and then head to bed. Breakfast with the Cs will start here at 9:30 a.m. 10 people - Dh, myself, our 2 girls, RH, KE, M -- and the Cs - R, S, and J12yo. I suppose there will be 2 puppies here too. It will not be boring.

Well, you've certainly done your best to make everyone comfortable, helia, and hopefully your dh understands the need to communicate in the future.

The bathroom sink is performing perfectly, and the bathtub is much improved. I can always give it another go tomorrow. I wasn't able to put anywhere near enough of the caustic in my first go, but it's already draining slowly.
