I have been to the store.
I am cooking my dinner & some ahead for meal later.
Got more planners purged and dumped the trash before trash day Tues.
Vacuumed the liv, rm. ddoggo is shedding.
Did up the dishes and got em put away.
Cleared off the table again after more planner set up happened,
Got some wrong yarn in a box ready to go not sure where yet.
When I filled out my done list realized how much I did today.
Read a bit more.
Did a bit of writing too.
Soak foot in Epsom salts is next must make time for that!

Re: Friends Clean Together Monday
I've been embroidering today. About 1/3rd the way with my project to finish this, to be able to put the last third of the quilt top together.
Tomorrow I have an appt at 1:00. Not so bad weather, although windy and cold. At least it will be sunny.
Well, blessed, if car thieves get so greedy in large groups, they make a mistake and that's how they get caught. And my, that one fellow in the shop realizes now (as do his friends) that he put his face right up to the camera a couple times. Detectives are not dumb. So many people involved so more chances of a slip and being caught. I hope so, not just because the community needs it, but because the thieves have a genuine need to have their life directions changed.
HRH and I have waited a bit long to get supper on the table. We decided on basil pesto pasta, which is quick. poof

Wow, blessed -- that was something. I hope they catch those thieves.
I know the embroidery is beautiful, Harriet. That's a nice way to spend a cold winter day. I hope it's not too cold tomorrow, but judging from the forecast here, I bet it will be! Sending good wishes that all goes well with your appointment.
Dgd is spending the night, but she and I ate at her house -- DS and ddil made a "Mississippi pot roast" in the crock pot and it was sooo good. I think the main thing is that it has some kind of little peppers in it and a package of ranch dressing -- it gives the roast a little extra spice. It was really good, and sooo tender. I wish things were not so cluttered over there... but I am trying to keep my mouth shut. The lady that cleans for them is coming tomorrow, but ddil won't let her in the master bedroom. And she can't make any headway in the laundry room. SMH... but the kitchen and den will look better when she leaves tomorrow, and maybe the playroom and kids' bedrooms. And bathrooms! My goodness.
I told dgs he could stay tomorrow night, and both of them can stay Wednesday. The kids and I will be going to "celebrate" with my cousins again.
Y'all... I don't know what is wrong with me. Dcousin sent a text inviting me today, and I told her I have this 20 lb ham that I plan to cook, so I will bring it. Then I start feeling a little anxious about the whole thing. For five years I have pouted and fussed because they left me out while they always included my other aunt and uncle. Now suddenly they are including me, and I feel nervous.
Maybe I'm afraid they are going to call on me to take daunt to the doctor again? You know, Dcousin did ask me once and I said I would, and then while I was having a panic attack about it, Dcousin called back and said she could go, after all. Sigh. I panicked, even though daunt is one of my favorite people in the entire world. Or maybe they will ask me to do more for duncle? I don't know what I'm scared of. I always have a good time when I'm with them, so I know I'm just falling into my habitual panic when something new is in my routine.
Last year, ds went with me, and this year, he doesn't want to -- they are eating with ddil's parents earlier Wednesday, and ddil said she would probably be drinking and did not want to go to the church with alcohol on her breath. (No one will be there except my family, in the fellowship hall of the church, and I'm pretty sure some of my cousins drink casually -- but they won't be drinking then, so ddil doesn't want them to think she does, I guess.) I don't think DS drinks, but he said he just felt like he would have enough socialization by the time they got home from supper. It doesn't take a lot for him to be "peopled out."
I even got nervous today thinking about "what if" my dbro DID move back here... will I have to socialize with him and dsisil? DS and DDIL think there is very little chance that this will ever be a situation I will have to face. They just do not expect dbro to be back except for funerals. They have less faith in dbro than even I do.
I think I would really like to just go to bed and sleep for the rest of my life.
I took the wreaths off my doors and the candles out of the windows today, but I just put them on the dining room table. My plan is to gather everything there before I get the boxes out. That will be tomorrow and Wednesday, and then Thursday, I plan to get the tree down.
I also did two loads of clothes today and s/s the bathrooms... reconciled the checkbook and statement... paid a couple bills... filled out new calendar for 2026.
All this is worthy of praise because my day started earlier than usual -- Life Alert call at 9:30 a.m.! Dmom had not fallen, but she had gotten in the floor to get to something under her cabinets, and she could not get up. Life Alert sent ambulance and they had her up and sitting on the couch when I got there; no harm done, but my goodness... she is getting weaker and everything. Dbro really does need to spend more time with her.
Nancy, I also went to the grocery store and got the pineapple slices and cherries to put on my ham Wednesday. I probably should get some kind of aluminum tray to put it on (to serve). I dread slicing it... I am no good at that At All. Maybe I'll just take it to church without slicing it and my aunt will help.
I'm glad none of y'all sound like you're in danger from the weather on the Great Lakes. It was a beautiful picture in a way, but Ooohhh... I bet it's scary close up! Glad your power wasn't off too long, Cathy, but 90 minutes in cold weather IS a pretty long while! Do you have gas heat?
I am considering getting gas logs, but I'm just a little scared of gas... read a story in Reader's Digest right before we built our house, about a family that died from carbon monoxide poisoning and I've been scared of it ever since. I have a split unit -- electric cooling, natural gas heat -- but no gas lines run into or under my house.
Blessed, looks like you've had a very busy day! I hope you did get the nap in!
LOL at dh wondering how you got so many steps in, Twins. Men never noticed what women are doing.
Mystery, I hope your weather stays manageable.
It's 26 here "feels like 16" and the wind is NNW at 10 mph. Looks like the low will be at 7:00 a.m. -- 20 degrees.
I certainly hope Life Alert doesn't wake me up at that time!
The high tomorrow will be 38, but after that, we'll be back into the 50s for day time highs.
As y'all might expect, I did not shower last night before bed -- it is ALWAYS that way when dmom needs the Life Alert. So I rushed out, didn't even brush my teeth... and after sitting with her awhile, I came back home -- stopped at McD's for a egg McMuffin and got the mail -- and after I ate, I s2s and even washed my hair, but I did not do my Bible reading or any other morning routine things. DGD has been here since around 1:00 p.m. and has kept me pretty busy most of the evening. I hope tomorrow is a little calmer.
