L.Ann, I checked and the Irish County doctor stories were translated to Czech and they are available in the municipal library! Not the branch I usually go to, so I will either have to keep looking or order them to be delivered to my branch (there's a fee for that). Books in the library network keep circulating - you can go to any of the city branches and borrow books there and also drop off books borrowed anywhere in the network, so each branch has an everchanging selection :-)
Bama, I don't mind the routines. They do keep the house rolling and really are the backbones of household management. But you can only cross them off the list for the day, no matter how many times you've done them, they will be there again tomorrow!
missing puzzle pieces is so frustrating, helia! Hoping you will find it.

TaDas
- morning routine
- midday routine
- dinner
- load of wool
- fold load from dryer
- clean DS14's room
- homework / backpacks with kids

ToDos
- 50 minutes worth of work
- 10 minute break

Braindump
- afternoon routine
- evening routine
- menus
- ironing
- clean master bedroom
- at least 10 minutes in DBD's room
- one leftover holiday cleaning task
- DBD's speech therapy
- pay therapy bill

Trissie, that picture is the reason why we dont have puzzles at home! I think Freddie would probably be ok, (although he might well sit in the middle of it and refuse to move!), but Jude is still a chewer, and Matilda is quite likely to eat a piece or run off with it, and then leave it somewhere when she got bored!

Jude and Freddie quite rightly reminded me it was supper time, so their needs have been attended to. Matilda has got the much coveted very warmest spot on the vet bed by the radiator, so has decided to postpone her supper for now.

The dishwasher has very nearly finished, so when it beeps to let me know it's done its thing I'll unload it and then tackle a box file.

Kitty, WTG with the cleaning downstairs. I agree - setting a goal of one makes your goal easier to achieve and maybe more motivating.

Hi, all. Look at you go--up to Page 3 already! I have had a weird day. I did get up and look after Germane, but got so cold sitting at my computer that I ended up going back to bed and turning the heated throw on high to try to warm up. The throw must be getting close to the end as it only got warm. It took an hour and a half for my feet to stop feeling like ice, for my body to believe that my inner organs were not in danger of freezing and free up some blood for the extremities. I napped and read my book on my phone (N or M?).

trissie, I laughed to see today's title. Thanks for the start!

I can't do all personal responses when I'm this far behind, so apologies and WTG's to all. I'm actually starting to feel the cold again, so I'll head to the kitchen to make myself a piece of toast and wash dishes so I can put my hands in hot water.

edit: I went into my daily 20 minute coughing fit and cleaned up after Germane who is having trouble digesting her favourite food.

kitkat, how old is your pup? our cat no longer fights being given meds... at almost 20 she feels it's a smaller discomfort than trying to run away!
hi Peaches!
Dogged, sorry about the cold... seems like it will be a day of hot tea (or maybe hot toddy) for you?

For me, the day is almost over. Trying to convince myself to either do some movement or some ironing, preferably both, but it's 9:45 and I keep falling asleep sitting... maybe I could do 10 on stationary bike while mindlessly flipping through facebook

I hope you like it, Trissie. It is a nice fun read and lovely when read with an Irish accent. I am listening Jen Hatmaker’s latest memoir, helian. I prefer nonfiction that are less than 10 hours when listening because they are easier to pick up and put down. Novels with accents or full casts though are fun listens.

I'm good, trissie. I have reached the time of day where the sun is on my side of the building. It's not a sunny day, but it still warms up the apartment.

I think that you have given all that you can today. The only remaining question is whether going to sleep will give you the most peace, or moving forward on one of your personal goals?

Tuesday
Cleaned up after dog
Breakfast for Germane.
Put away dry dishes
Cleaned up after dog
Watered plant
Washed dishes
Watered second plant
Put on a pot of pasta
Washed more dishes

That sounds like a good book recommendation, L.Ann.

I've heard of Jen Hatmaker, L Ann. I don't know if I've read any of her stuff.
I think something short followed by bedtime sounds great, trissie.
Hope you're sufficiently warmed up now, Doggedly.

I just spent too long working on drafts of new year cards on 2 different websites. I now have about 1 hour before I need to start dinner. Hmm... I MUST get wood for a fire and get groceries for dinner tonight. I think exercise is out. I would like to work on clean sheets for the bed - and maybe 1 phone call. I'll let you know what I do - and don't do. The hours each day seem to go by so fast.

Next:
- 1 phone call?
- bring in wood while it's still light
- WF run and put away

Later:
- some qt
- figure out meal plan for the week
- grocery list
- Kroger?
- gym - work out
- load of sheets: w d f pa
- clean sheets on bed
- clean sheets on guest beds?
- dinner: pasta, homemade tomato sauce, green salad
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps
- read for fun
- make one phone call: schedule mammogram
- help dh pick up his car
- garbage and recycling to the curb
- bring in wood for an evening fire

TaDas!

- payroll: drop off last session's textbooks at school
- home; lunch
- reclaimed kitchen
- some orders - winter running items + a replacement windmill cookie cutter for dd27
- texted ds+F re: a photo for NY card
- worked on drafts of photo cards from 2 different companies + short note
