Interfering, helia? No, indeed. The squirrels were gardening.

WTG, everyone! 🥇 You get an honorary medal of achievement!

Helia, that’s interesting about eating the tulip bulbs. I thought rodents was bad but at least it’s protein.

Dogged, I would love the squirrel lottery. I’d leave nuts to exchange for all the bulbs and everyone would wonder why I had the prettiest yard in the neighborhood.
That AI class sounds very interesting.

FFB, yikes, I mailed them around the 15th I think…I need to make a mental note to get the ones out of country in the mail in November. Thank you for your card too! I’m glad your day got better.

Kittykatt, yay on getting further with the med issue.
I’m coming to understand just how “old school” I really am. I prefer snail mail, writing checks, being home…

Tulips are an annual here so I’ve never planted any. We do have them in the stores and I’m tempted but have resisted so far.

I just ate lunch and am going to do some paper work next.

Dogged, speaking of squirrels reminded me, we have several squirrels that have taken up residence in our turkey yard and feed on all of his scraps. They are HUGE. Never let it be said I let a squirrel go hungry.

Alas, the meat is still frozen so dh offered to fetch supper again. It will be thawed for tomorrow night though so the peppers are not cancelled, just on hold.

Dogged, I'm hoping you'll see this - I would first spread old newspapers or a bin liner over your table or workspace, and then gently tip everything out of the container. You should then be able to see more clearly exactly what has died,.and remove it, either by gently pulling and teasing the roots apart, or possibly cutting of you need to. Then, you can repot what's left, either in the same.container (so long as it has drainage holes in the bottom!) or another pot of your choice. Of you try and ensure the plants are planted nto approximately the same depth as originally, they should be happy. Firm the soil gently between the plants , and then water. If you have plant food, they would probably appreciate a feed in a few weeks. Good luck!

I'm finally in bed - the washing machines on its last legs as the bearings have worn badly, hence the racket its making. Of course, the repair would cost over half as much as a brand new machine  and there's no guarantee that nothing else would also go wrong. So, long story short, the new machine will hopefully be arriving Saturday. (I got a very good deal from John Lewis, with a lot of money off as it's end of line - (apparently the forthcoming .model will be WiFi enabled (!!) which I certainly dont want )also a free five year warranty, free delivery, free installation and also free removal.of the old machine, so although I really didn't.want.to get a new washing machine so soon after Christmas, I think this one should be ok). DF CW has also asked me to supervise the delivery and installation.of her new fridge freezer tomorrow, and there's also supposed to be a repair man to look at her washing machine (its symptoms sound depressingly similar to mine,.but hopefully it just needs it's feet levelling - we have wood floors, which can be uneven)).

Ah, Bama is recruiting her squirrel allies in readiness!
You have given me a craving for peppers. When I make supper, I think that I will add some frozen peppers to the tomato sauce.

You are on top of your To Dos, L.Ann. WTG!

Thank you, Kittykatt. I will do as you say. It's going to be awkward as I have the vines trained up a 4-ft cage, so I'll wait until I'm ready to fold the table back out to its largest size.
I'm sorry about your washing machine, but glad that you were able to find a good replacement.

Good evening to all.
So, we all share a love of tulips:) I found it interesting to think of them as annuals - but it makes sense in warm climates.
Nothing got done in the house but the errands were done.:)

I shall see you all tomorrow - time for my book. (Anne Patchett:) )

WTG on getting all cleaned up after dinner, helia.

kitkat, I'm still trying wrap my mind around the idea that tulips are happier up here than in Bama's climate. Don't they come from Türkiye?
Have a good night!

I have (finally!) brought the big air fryer to the basement. I hereby pronounce Locker # 2 full. All three dimensions. Okey, if something is very light I could toss it upward.
