Hello, everyone!
I hope DS feels better soon, FFB.
Did you end up make another shopping trip with the twins, Trissie?
L.Ann, I'm sorry you had to cancel your walk, but it's better to be safe!
Helia, today's lunch was roast rolled turkey breast, roast potatoes, Savoy cabbage, carrots, peas and gravy, followed by coffee ice cream.
I'm glad the projector is a success, Dogged!
What lovely hobby to have, KitKat!
Hi, Peaches!
It's been a good day. Church was thought provoking, and DF E was in every good spirits when I visited her for coffee. I managed to do a little in my tiny front garden during breaks in the rain, and I've also completed a very long procrastinated task and emailed the roofer regarding several issues. Each problem is small, but together they make a reasonably sized job, so I'm hoping they'll agree to do it. (I have a back up plan if they're not interested, so the time spent this afternoon won't be wasted.)
We're watching Poirot now (Murder on the Links) and Matilda and Jude have taken turns on my lap.

Yes, that's cold, kitkat. We in MN do kind of like to brag about our ability to handle these extremes of cold. The forecast tonight may be a windchill in the negative 30s. That's why we have so many heavy warm winter clothes! I got my driveway done in the relative calm before church. Then I went to visit dfBS, with a shovel in my car (I have told her that I find her shovel only a step above a pancake turner
) after changing clothes after church. I was delighted to see that the man we have hired to do mother's driveway (there's a tenant in a small basement apartment there) had been there. We hadn't had much in snow volume, but it had blown small drifts across. I didn't think it was enough for him to do - he usually waits until 4 inches - so was prepared, but was happy that all I had to do was a little extra clean up.
Now the wind has picked up again - gusts 30-40 mph - so it's blowing snow around. And another 1/2 inch has put a layer of dust on what I have cleared.
I'm home, inside, warm, have had a phone conversation with MrVKM, and am preparing to wash my K counters and empty the sink - either wash by hand or in DW - some of each. When I am done with that, I'll call one of my siblings as a reward for work well done
(I don't know if any of you have heard the news about what's going on in my state, but I can assure you that I am safe, not participating in protests on either side. I'm blonde and blue eyed and no way can be racially profiled! We do have a mixed racial town. Many children are staying home from school, and their parents are too, afraid to go to work, to the gas station, or to the grocery store, even tho they are legal. Our church, and other churches in town as well, are collecting non perishable food for the school to deliver to homes. I am participating by bringing food for the food drive.)

Glad you're safe and also able to help, Gma. The whole situation is concerning to those of us not there. I have a friend traveling to Minneapolis for work this week - blonde-haired and blue-eyed. She's asked for prayers that she doesn't accidentally end up lost and driving in the wrong place and thus get profiled with intentions she doesn't have - and suffer the consequences of such assumptions by others.
L Ann, I have to ask - what is the death book? Is a collection of info in case you die?
