fridge looks lovely - I bought all the ingredients (fingers crossed) to make a couple different soups for the freezer. tomorrow is a cooking day and a veg prep.
I need to buy bones for the beef stock - I am also out of homemade chicken stock - but that will be for another week.
tomorrow: lentil veggie soup, Pittsburg wedding soup again, beef stock and maybe a tomato based soup -
chocolate chip cookies for freezer.
I still have red cabbage and spanakopita in the freezer, green peppers from the garden, corn from the garden, black berries from the field, and some squash.
I have to make the chicken piccata today -
I have to plan the menu -
add to work this weekend: dh and I work in dd younger's freezer - it's too full - dog raw stuff.
praying she starts looking for an apartment - Florida is better for her - good friends and her photo work as been great for her. the ADHD meds - amazing. keeping fingers crossed. I miss her - but her spirits are much higher there. Hope she can make a good living there. She has good friends from before. I had her here when we needed her most for mom. (10 months)
I need to make dinner - wash the stove first and after cooking
mom is sleeping for now but she should be up soon.
add apple butter cinnamon rolls for freezer
buy fish for fish in paper with lemon, compound butter, spinach.

bw2, lol on weight lifting competition. I've just been catching up on odds and ends. Unable to focus much. I got through a.m. routine except need a shower before we go tonight. Also making a list of things to try to get done this week. Almost nothing of last week's list done. Been trying to keep my mind occupied and that's not a time to work on accounting. I'll need to make phone calls this week about getting dues in.
Ddog just seems so sad. I put the collar on her to keep her from licking her bottom and she's just very very subdued, outside in the sun at least.
So we're going to tonight. I'll s2s. Dh just commented that it doesn't start until 7:30 and I responded that was why I asked if he was going to be able to make it. I'll give ddog trazadone (anxiety) before we go. Perhaps some of the other meds now too. She has six at this point, the trazadone for anxiety, three related to surgery (antibiotic, pain and pain), probiotic and stool softener. We need to get some food down her too, if we can. I think dh just doesn't get how much anxiety this generates for me.
LadyM, I do hope that dd14 has turned that corner today.
Dh and I invited neighbors over for beef and barley stew and super bowl tomorrow evening, just casual after I talked to dneighbor this a.m. Turns out both couples invited to party down the street, but they'll go there and then show up here after. I have meat in the freezer for the stew and it's an easy crockpot NYT recipe. (Can't believe NYT recipe is easy but this one is.) I do have some chili in refrigerator that needs to go to freezer.
I have a list going for the week. Need to start "collection" efforts for HOA dues, only seven families. Most pay up quickly when contacted personally, at least that's been my experience.

I was just watching tonight's weather report. In F degrees it will be MINUS 24 F or Minus 31 Celcius. It's close to as cold as it gets where I live. Dh and I are warm and cozy in our house. No power outages or anything expected. I just had a delightfully HOT shower.
It was a great day to working on fixing a thick blanket.

I've showered and am dressed to go to fund raiser party tonight. Not much excited about going. Since losing weight I haven't updated my wardrobe for "cocktail attire" lol, and I don't like getting dressed up anyway. And there is live music and it will be too loud and it doesn't start until 7:30 which is about 45 minutes before I like to be in bed reading. But dfriend V is on organizing committee and she pressed us to attend. And I know dh likes being out. So we're going. I hope dh is still tired enough that he fades fast...
DMillie ate tonight and spent some time outside. We're giving her trazadone (anxiety) before we go out and the pain and other meds (that are a 12 hr schedule) when we get back in. (LOL, dh thought he could put some dog food and the trazadone pill on a spoon and she'd take it, no way that happens.) I hope he better understands why I stress about getting this into her.

it will be MINUS 24 F
WOW! I'm glad you are staying cozy warm in such cold weather. We are about 100 degrees warmer here. It was in the mid 70's here today with bright sunshine. I don't see any freezing temps in our 10 day forecast. I expect we will have more winter weather here before the springtime weather settles in.
So far no one has any of DD14 symptoms. I opened the windows to bring fresh air into the house. Hopefully we all stay healthy.
As nighttime arrives, DD14 temperature is starting to rise. It is 101.5 now. I used a 3x5" card to list the timing and meds to give her through the night.
