DGD's mood I spoke of earlier was NOTHING compared to today. I know her first week on her period has to be difficult for her, but this is ridiculous.
After school, I offered to take them for a snack. She wanted Subway (again. We ate supper there last night.) I refused. This led to much pouting, weeping and gnashing of teeth -- and screaming. She then wanted to go home, because she thought the lady who cleans would be there. DDIL had told her yesterday, in my hearing, that she would leave before dgd was out of school. (She then accused me of not wanting her to learn to clean! LOL -- as if.) THEN, I told her I would stop at DG or the service station near our house, but I was NOT going out of my way to Subway OR to her house. The fuss continued past DG, and then past the service station, and we came home.
DGS was quite proud of me for "not caving in to her." (I've told y'all, because of her arthritis, I think she has been a bit spoiled, by all of us.) Sooo... home... she begins walking down the driveway! I ignored her, unlocked the doors and went inside to put down the mail... went back out and DGS WAS CHASING HER DOWN THE ROAD!!! She was walking down the ROAD, maybe 200 yards past the driveway headed to the store!!! Remember -- she is only TEN. (Thank goodness we live on a lightly traveled county road, not a state highway like she does!)
Y'all.
She was still not happy and I told her I was going to have to tell her mother about all this, which got her attention, but she still didn't have a much better attitude. She alternated from "I'm sorry!" to another round of complaints. It did not help at all that I admitted to her that I had eaten the chips she left here at my house!
DDIL told her (on the phone) to go lie down; that they were going to have a big talk about this later and that she might not get her Valentine from Mexico when her daddy got home.
She was asleep on the couch when ddil came to pick her up, so I know she didn't feel good, but still -- ddil and I agree that she can't use that as an excuse to act like she did.
I guess none of us won any awards for that incident. I'm sure some of you have much better ways to handle such emotional outbursts but I just did the best I could.

The next adventure for me was trying to send money via PayPal to Dcousin, to pay my part on her dil's baby shower.
PP didn't recognize the email she gave me. Aaauuugghh... and since it's not a business, they won't refund it. If she doesn't accept it, they will refund it to my account in 30 days. So that's the plan, and I will give her cash ASAP. And to think I was sending PP in order to save time.

Anyway -- it's been a long day and without any real reason, I started crying while I was in the shower. There's another reason I'm nervous about the gyno appt. I'll put it in J&C.

Mystery -- that IS strange to see that on the bus! Let us know if you hear anything in the news or something to explain it.

Cathy -- I am sooo glad your washing machine is finally fixed! I hope dh's doctor's appt goes well and solves his leg problem.

Hope your appt goes well, too, Harriet!

(((LadyM's dd))) Coughing is one of the most worrisome symptoms of all viruses! Glad you found something that works.

Mmmm... Nancy, I bet your house smells SOOO good!!!

Hope you had a good evening with your mom, blessed.
Tomorrow is another day.
