Checking in...
CostumeLady -- so good to see you! Sooo much of what you said describing your dh could be said about my (late) dh... He was sooo OCD. He did the laundry after he retired, until I retired, and then I took it over again because he had a bad habit of waiting too long to do it and overstuffing the washer. (He also never learned how to do certain things like sweaters and things that needed delicate cycles.) We still did towels and underwear on his schedule, but I washed our clothes, ironed his, and he put them away. Color-coded, long sleeves and short sleeves separated, jeans and other pants separated. He also did all the packing -- I'd just put my clothes out and he'd get them in the wardrobe bag. AND he insisted on everything being unpacked and put away when we returned home. He also unpacked and put everything in drawers in hotels.
I am having one of those days that I just can't get going. I was finally d2s by 1:00 pm, but still no make-up and I haven't brushed my teeth.
Talked to ds... will not be going to see the Elvis concert movie Thursday after my gynecologist appt. DS has a Booster Club meeting and DDIL will be at church pastor-parrish meeting and there will be no one to pick up dgd at softball. He apologized profusely, but I told him that was fine, I will go next Tuesday when I may be able to get cheaper ticket anyway. (I had told ddil I was going to the movie to reward myself for going to the gyno appt. That's okay; it'll wait. Thursday's reward will be food and shopping trip. I need to add to dmom's bday present and possibly find myself something new for Easter.)
The HVAC man came by and repaired the drain pipe and another loose fitting on the heat units. I went outside with him and it is sunny and windy. I just had on a t-shirt and sweatshirt; will put on jacket before I go to town.
A lady from church called to ask about visitors we had Sunday.
Confirmed appt/online check-in for Thursday. My goodness, I dread this.
I lay in bed and watched westerns for a long long time.
Cathy, I would be finding another accountant, too! My accountant charges $450 for a fairly simple return, IMHO, but otherwise, he is trustworthy and prompt. (Is $450 too high? I have considered switching to H&R Block or something, but I have no idea what they or anyone else charges.)
I have my envelope ready for him and will drop it off Thursday. (Even if he is not in, I can drop it in his mail slot.)
Thanks for all the input re: Medicare. I will call the library and find out when the next session is.
* Note -- Done -- He will be back March 20. 3:00 pm. Put that on my calendar.
Dfriend seems to think Part B is the part that is optional for me and that I might be able to save money with a separate plan. Retirement office told me to tell Medicare I need to apply for A and B.
DS called back and I got make-up on while talking to him.
Okay, I need a plan.
[x] brush teeth
[x] start laundry
[ ] do Wmart list
[x] insurance office
[x] go to grocery store (bananas; I do not trust Wmart shoppers to pick green bananas)
[x] post office
[x] check on dmom
[x] church meeting at 6:00 pm

After several cooler days/nights we have returned to the "just right" temperatures (IMHO). Not too cold. not too hot. So enjoyable to be outside soaking up the bright sunshine without a coat needed.
Laundry completely caught up
Floors swept and mopped
steps on track to reach daily goal
dishes caught up, counters cleaned
Bathrooms cleaned
Next up - gather trash for tomorrow pickup. Then pick up DD14 from school and do the appt/errand things. Hopefully we can be back home by 7ish.

I began editing above before the meeting, and now I'm back from the meeting so -- most stuff done except Wmart pick-up list, and I really don't need much of that right now, so will wait about it. I did buy diet drinks at the grocery store because they were on sale 3 for $12. That saves almost two dollars over Wmart's regular price.
Now... the plan is to
[ ] continue laundry
[ ] type minutes
I've got to decompress for a few minutes. These meetings are very brain draining. Lots of numbers. I can't always comprehend where we're going with all this endless discussion.

Growing the globe form of basils from seed used to be such fun for me. Boxwood variety from Bur pee was the one I remember. They looked like perfect young round boxwoods so people thought I must be some kind of a genius with evergreens, lol, when it was just an annual herb. I didn't know much about Italian cooking then, so I didn't get as much enjoyment from it in the kitchen as I might now, really. Now I think HRH would denude the plants for his spaghetti sauce and pizza topping, lol. But they were worth so much to me because visitors would walk out to my garden to try to figure out what they were, a conversation piece. Whatever flower was beside them would be shown off.
I napped, which was the logical conclusion of such poor sleep last night.
Pintos, slaw and biscuits for supper.

I think I am going to bed.
This day has just been enough. No reason — nothing has happened— I’m just tired and I’m kinda thinking it would be best to stop fighting it and try for a more productive day tomorrow.
