Hello everyone!

Trissie, we do seem to be having a particularly early spring this year, but here in the SW of England, winter is usually "over" by mid February these days . My garden currently has snowdrops, daffodils, periwinkle, snowflakes, hellebores and pansies in flower, so it's definitely woken up from winter. :D

Laura, your crochet project sounds very pretty.

L.Ann, that's an interesting choice of music for DD! Yes, unfortunately, chocolate is the second most stolen item after alcohol, and it's increasingly being carried out by gangs who "steal to order". Some shops are even putting chocolate in security cases rather than loose on the shelves. And it's thought that it's the Romanian gangs that are behind it (sigh!).

Helia, unfortunately, chocolate is one of the items that has risen almost exponentially in price during the still ongoing cost of living crisis. And many people do like their chocolate. :P Also, in many places, the bottom has fallen out of the illegal tobacco trade, due to Trading Standards really clamping down, and shops being closed down for months at a time, so I guess the gang leaders have seen a gap in their "market" and a way to recoup some of their lost "income".

Dogged, you're a much braver woman that I am, doing all those technical things with your TV . I've just about mastered the most important buttons on the remote, but I've no idea what the "other" remote does!

It's been a good day. The house is mostly tidy, the sitting room is hoovered and the laundry is hanging to dry. I managed to plant all the hellebores I bought at the garden centre, so that's a good job done, and culled all the geraniums that definitely didn't make it through the winter. And I've also started calculating how many geraniums and begonias. I shall need this summer. Lunch has been prepped and Ive made a cherry cake.

Doggedly I dunno that kinda motivation may work for some people... 😆 🤣

I spent way too much money on groceries but I stocked up on meat etc. And some other stuff. Only things not truly food are the canned cat food and Caspers bones.

Helian I bet that long jog did it. That would make me tired. I should get out for a walk with Casper. In a bit. Ds27 texted to see if I was going to see grandma today. They want to go with me. I have no scheduled time so I told him maybe when Lil j is up from his nap. Waiting to hear from him.

I swept the floors...I might make some motivation if I invite them for supper when I see them. If they want to come it will make me vacuum so Lil j can crawl around without the dog hair.

Priority list ✨️

Kitchen clean
Straighten fridges and freezer
Laundry

Mop
Vacuum
Spot clean rug and entry rug
Take those recycle bags out(2 now 😆)
Groceries

Declutter main living room
See if I can start new crochet sweater
Work on music some
Figure out a better reachable place for my current music binders(I use all of it)

Today's tada list ✨️

Work on crochet a bit
Go see mom yet

Make grocery list or at least take stock what is low
Start car and go shopping
Gas car
Put it all away

Finish qt
Soak in tub instead of shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom

Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way
Declutter island (may get ds to help find homes for some invisible stuff)

I'm a little disorganized here. I think I miss some of you each time I post. . .

Lauralind, that's great that you keep up with your clothes decluttering! That's probably the biggest decluttering need in our home.
L Ann, that's great that DD33 has learned to enjoy bagpipe music from Renaissance Festivals. I've never been to one. I should go sometime!
Mmm..... a cherry cake. Kitty, is it for your Sunday lunch?

It is now snowing. *sigh* Maybe I'll get some firewood so we can have a fire tonight.

Helian I don't have a big closet. And I guess I got used to weeding through stuff as kids outgrew it. And mine as well. I'm not looking forward to going through mom's stuff. She has clothes in 3 closets. There's outfits in there from way back. I feel like she never got rid of anything. One skirt and blouse and vest is there from a picture on the wall when my sister and I were little.... wedding shoes dad says are still there. How does one do it. It's hard cause dad wants to sell the house and downsize. He wants to reduce a bunch of stuff. My sister and I could go through and throw out so much. But not with dad around? Will the thrift store want 70's style??? There are rooms and shop and outbuildings and greenhouse and cabins and... and....

I'm glad that you enjoyed the cleaning reminder, helia.

Entertainment systems are outside of my wheelhouse, Kittykatt, so it's as slow and cumbersome for me to work my way through the set up as it is for everyone else. :) This is where my kindness to callers is paying off. When I got a call from someone who couldn't connect their devices to the internet, I would look up the user manual for their device and walk them through it. So at least parts of it felt familiar.
You've had a productive (and I assume pleasant) day in your garden.

Renaissance fairs sound fun, L.Ann.

That will be nice if you get some time with your ds and his dfamily, Lauralind.

Saturday
Cleaned up after dog.
Treat for dog
Got Alexa set up on new ISP
Got Alexa connected to Roku
Checked out more channels on Roku
Looked into options for shows that I watch
Looked into BritBox
Went through flyer
Went to bank
Tried to deposit OAS cheque. Messed up PIN#. Now the account is locked.
Went grocery shopping
Brought groceries up
Put cold groceries away. By some miracle, fit all of the frozen food back into the freezer.
Checked the granny cart: found a box of fish.
Reorganize the freezer again and got everything in somehow.
Started a movie playing on the projector.

I am rarely organized enough to use both oven racks at the same time, but I have a frozen pizza on the top rack and a big fillet of basa on the bottom rack for Germane.
