I have been able to post so far. :) I just have short posts because I have an awkward set up while I use my main computer for something else.

I got my new ISP to cancel the TV service. It took a while and a few transfers but it's done.

Hello everyone!

L.Ann, I think bagpipes are maybe an "acquired taste", and definitely need to be appreciated from a distance:D

Dogged, I'm glad Germane is eating well again today.

Bama, I had an issue posting earlier (early afternoon my time) but the next time I tried everything was ok.

KitKat, that is one clever pup!

WTG with payroll progress, Helia!

It's been a very good day. My appointment went very smoothly, this nurse was also a cat lover, so we spent time chatting about Freddie and also her cat Margot (Bengal cross). My garden centre delivery of compost and bark arrived safely and I had a nice time in my garden, and also had nice chats with DNeighbour R and Dnextdoorneighbour C. This afternoon I did my housework, and upstairs is now clean and tidy (at least for now!)

I forgot to reply to helia:
Reading Mother Mary Comes To Me. Very good. Looks like I might read some of her other writing in the future.
And, I agree- cleaning never ends.
Waving to Dogged - happy to hear about Germane's appetite.
Bama WTG on the dog walks! Mine is whining at the door b/c she knows there is bunny poop in the back yard...
trissie what kind of bread are you baking?
Kittykatt - we have a Bengal across the street. The owner brings him/her out on a leash... (Hope my pup does not get interested)
It's great to chat with other pet parents:)
I don't know why I don't see LAnn's post...
Hope I did not miss anyone... If I did / next round:)

Laundry is going strong - I took a few minutes with my book while waiting for it.

Next:

I'm back to my usual setup with the keyboard conviently to hand, and I have cancelled the TV service from my new ISP, and arranged cancellation at the end of the month with my old ISP. So I'm feeling pretty satisfied with my day so far.

Kittykatt, I had never heard of Gerard Manley Hopkins, let alone how seminal his work is. Thank you for starting us off.
Germane did eat some Go! this morning, though she gave me a look. The second helping that I gave her is still in her dish. So, we'll see.
I'm glad that your day went well. With the compost and bark delivered, is that all that you need this year? Or is there soil still to come?

helia and kitkat, I find the most discouraging part of housework is that it focuses my attention on other things that need to be cleaned, when I might have been able to tune that out. ;)

Waving to Bama, trissie and L.Ann.

kitkat, I can totally relate about the dog and the rabbit poop. My B&T coonhound Inertia viewed rabbits as pez dispensers. Never harmed one, but could be quite odd about them.
