Dogged - do you know about the yellow "stickies" you insert into plant pots and they get rid of those gnats?
Let me see if I can find a link:
https://www.leevalley.com/en-ca/shop/ho ... e2EALw_wcB
(Walmart and others carry it, too)
I meant to ask you: you mentioned the flea/tick prevention for Germane . Have you had the discussion with the vet, taking into consideration her age, lack of exposure, etc.? I know vets made different suggestions to me when I had senior pups...
helia I thought I was the only one who hung onto aging laptops... (My dkids laugh about me with my 10 year old laptop)
Are you reading something fun?
Bama you set a good example with your dog walks:)
Sorry to hear about the electrical issues. (They always scare me) Hope it's all resolved quickly.
LAnn
the change in temp . is incredible. I was sweating by the time we finished our walk. (Which may have something to do with how I've been...) How is DD doing?
My day did not go as planned.
Needed a 2,5 hour nap before I could do anything. The cough was exhausting...
But, DDog got a 50 min walk just now. She is tired.
I'm going to see how much I can get done here. Everything is messy. (untidy). It bothers my eyes.

Re: Tomaru Chicken Tuesday
The track pad healed itself, Doggedly. He he! Actually, the trustee does happen to also be the executor of the estate.
kitkat, I'm still reading Happiness Falls. I'm having trouble finishing it, I think bc my reading time seems to fall right before bed and the material is dark-ish enough that I don't want it in my brain as I'm falling asleep. I've also been listening to Remarkably Bright Creatures, a very engaging story! By Shelby Van Pelt. That's quite a walk if you weren't feeling 100%.
All of this nonsense about the trustee doesn't affect me personally, except from time to time when the lawyer reaches out to me because she can't get ahold of the trustee. I guess there will be money eventually, if the estate is making money, but that's just the icing on the cake and not something I'm really expecting or planning for.
I really need to start dinner now since we need to eat early because dh has a 7 pm meeting. I'm switching the pasta meal with the chicken curry meal which will be less prep. I still have grading to do. And Fable will be here tonight.
I still haven't s2s-ed but might make that a before bed activity tonight. If my morning hair isn't weird, I can skip the shower tomorrow morning.
Next:
- payroll: 15 minutes grading
- Dinner: chicken curry, rice, roasted broccoli and mushrooms
- Fable here
- after dinner clean up
More Done:
- dressed to jog
- back exercises
- put away groceries
- hot sweaty jog
- cold drink

Re: Tomaru Chicken Tuesday
Hello everyone!
L.Ann,.did you get anything nice at Kohl's? Free money is always nice!
Helia, 10 years is very impressive.for a laptop!
Bama,.I'm sure the new cooker will be worth all the scary electrical shenanigans!
Dogged, I totally.understamd non consensual grooming sessions. Freddie is changing his coat and he either can't reach his lower back,.or can't be bothered (not sure which!).so, the fir there starts to clump. Fortunately.he is short haired,.so doesn't get knots,. but I need to have more sessions with the furminator. Also fortunately,.since. he's had .his teeth done he's more tolerant of brushing,. but I don't want to push my luck!
KitKat, how very wise of you to listen to your body and stop when you needed to.
I've been productive (for me!) today. The sitting room is clean and tidy, the DW is reloaded and running, I spent a.little more time on my dolls house, and I've written those reports. I'll read them through again in the morning,.and,.if they still seem ok then, I'll email them to MD.

Re: Tomaru Chicken Tuesday
I hadn't seen those sticky things for the gnats, kitkat. Thanks for the suggestion.
The vet hadn't mentioned changing things up for Germane's flea etc control. I'm leaning toward putting it off until I come back from my db's house.
I'm glad that the trustee issues don't have any kind of hold on your life, helia. That's the important thing.
You know better than anyone about non-consensual grooking, Kittykatt, LOL. Germane doesn't want to bite me, so when I'm trying to trim her beard she opens her mouth really wide and throws her head around to clack the sides of her teeth against the scissors or my hand. Our sessions are necessarily short because I don't like to upset her.
I have been doing laundry. I'm on my way down to get the dryer load and start hanging.

Re: Tomaru Chicken Tuesday
Tuesday
Gave Germane her heart pill.
Set alarm for one hour
Picked up Germaneβs food
Set up the coffee maker
Cleaned up after dog
Unplugged slow cooker
Put away dry dishes
Sampled the carrots and potatoes from slow cooker. They are delicious!
Shared with Germane. She ate her carrots but I found the potato on the floor
Mini grooming session for Germane. Non-consensual.
Spiffed self. I was more cooperative than she was.
Checked into upcoming concert. Itβs next week, I havenβt heard back from the friend who was going to organize the tickets and the main area only has single tickets so we wouldnβt be able to sit together anyway. Bought my ticket and messaged my friend.
Sorted delicates into laundry bags
Gathered the dried laundry bags and returned them to the granny cart
Started two loads of laundry
Flipped laundry
Went through mail
Brought laundry up
Started dw
Gave Germane her Apoquel
Hung a bag of laundry
Wiped down the dishes in the dw. Let it go through the dry cycle.
Cleaned up after dog
Hung the second bag of laundry
Gave Germane her heart pill.
