WTG L.Ann ! :D

Doggedly lounging in front of fans is a nice way to spend time. I hope that, if it comes to that, you enjoy it. As for my DM, well I think the hardest part for her is not being able to travel anymore, she enjoyed some trips abroad with him when they retired, but now she can't. Well, she could, but he can't, and that's hard. But none of the kids would be ready to have him home for a few days while she travels, we have young kids and he is, sahll we say, 'old-fashioned' when it comes to raising kids  Besides I don't think she would agree to that arrangement. She is the self-sacrifice personality sometimes,... well, I don't know really.

trissie it seems you have been very productive today.

Sunday night here. Kids are in bed. MrNG is busy invoicing his latest clients. We were supposed to spend some time searching for a nice camping spot or some airbnb to book for our August vacation, in the Pyrenees mountains. I didn't make time for it and I don't think he did. I hope to be able to search a bit during the week.

TADAs
2025 photobook : October is in. I still haven't done August
sowed flowers, the ones we sowed before didn't grow
unrooted dandelions
prepped most of the dinner
read to the kids a fun comic books I had borrowed at the library - to keep them away from the screens
dinner and cleanup
bedtime routine
made a todo list for the week

TODO
have kids switch lights off
meditate ?
read for fun (Ken Follett), sleep early

That sounds hard on your family, FFB.
WTG on the bushes, L Ann!
Did Germane like her meal, Doggedly.
WTG on working on all those chairs, trissie!

I got in a 3.15 miles jog this morning before church. After church and lunch, I got the kitchen cleaned up and the dw running so there's space for all the dinner dishes from 7 people. I got a load of lights washed and drying and made a quick trip to WF. NOW we have milk, so tomorrow's morning start will be better. :D

Currently, I'm sitting outside with dh at our favorite outdoor coffee shop, sipping fully leaded coffee. I hope I don't regret it later; I tend to metabolize caffeine pretty quickly. I need to get my own exam edited (I'm doing that for AC bc she has a lot on her plate) so I can run it through AI to create a practice exam. I will tweak/ change AI's output as needed, of course. The response is never completely sufficient for what I need - but it gives me a lot to work with.

Next:
- payroll: edit my own final exam
- payroll: make practice exam
- payroll: agenda for tomorrow's class

Later:
- strip MBR bed
- load of sheets w d f pa
- load of lights w d f pa
- remake bed
- lists in notebook
- payroll: edit my own exam
- payroll: email CM with IW course pack mistakes/ suggestions
- payroll: update gradelink
- payroll: make practice exam
- 6 host dinner for up to 7 people?
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - still very high
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- back exercises
- gather everything and go JOG - 5K
- s2s and self care
- 10 - church
- home around 12:20
- lunch
- after lunch clean up
- wrote up last week's menu plan (so I can date leftovers)
- load of lights: washed and drying
- list made; WF run --> everything put away
- payroll: messages with LH - she figured it out
- to coffee shop with dh

Enjoy the coffee shop, helia. If you are still up at midnight, we'll know why
Doggedly, did Germane eat?
FFB, have you hears anything back from that job posting you were interested in? I think you were going to send in an inquiry?
trissie, I think your sil is in total denial. And agree with L.ann, that although you know what is right, it may take someone outside the family to get her to see it. Of course you cannot let a vulnerable adult fend for herself any more than you would leave a toddler alone. And it is really great that you know what paperwork needs to be gathered and can do all those preliminaries.
That's as far back as I can scroll, bt thanks to kittykatt for starting us off on this Sunday after the ascension.

I've done church
kind of wanted to go out for breakfast, but didn't want to be alone, and thought about all the food in my house, so went home and made a pretty good breakfast - for a lot less money than at a restaurant. The down side is that I will have a K to clean up - later today, after I do more planting. I am planting annuals, and discovering that my body is aging! I CAN get down and up, but it is not as easy as it was 15 years ago! And although the thermometer says it's just warm, The southwest corner of my house where I am planting is HOT! So I am in taking a cold beverage/ water break.
Then I will walk around the whole place and water, water, water. We are dry. I planted a few pole bean seeds yesterday and about a dozen carrot seeds today. I am trying to be conservative, so I don't overwhelm myslef with more harvesting work later, along with weeding too. I think the baby lettuces I planted 7 days ago are starting to sprout.
After watering at my house, I have to go to mother's - and see what the squirrels have done - yesterday II found 2 plants completely uprooted, but I was able to replant them. Apparently the fox urine granules didn't phase them a bit!

OK, I've been in long enough to cool down a ltitle, time to go back out.

It makes it a hard situation all around, FrenchFly, and makes it difficult for you to know what help to offer.
Reading the comic book to the dkids sounds like a fun end to the day.

Germane did like her meal, helia and Gma. I was surprised to see an empty plate when I went to the kitchen. I will try it again tomorrow to see if I can get more probiotics into her.

Woo hoo on being well supplied with milk and coffee, helia.

Oh, those squirrels that keep gardening at cross purposes with you, Gma. WTG on all that you got done in your yard. Could you water in shorts or a bathing suit and water yourself at the same time for fun?

I'll keep the swords handy for when you are ready, L.Ann.

Germane and I had a lovely walk. We strolled, we stood in the sunshine and stared off into the distance like heroic figures, we played maypole with me as the pole and Germane as all of the dancers, I carried her and set her down from time to time. It might not look like the walks of her youth, but she has had an enrichment activity and is happily sleeping it off.
