Painter J to paint outside of house and clean fascias./downpipes etc exact date TBC. It keeps slipping due to windy / rainy weather. Maybe beginning of June? (I'm hoping not next week as I've got quite a lot on then) The latest date is this Thursday, but I think that's when DF PM is having her house painted?

You understand Germane, well, Kittykatt. I guess it's from a lifetime of training from your dcats. WTG on your rainy day accomplishments.

That could easily take a day, helia. WTG on all that you got done!
Germane and I have compromised, by which I mean that I am gatekeeping the salty food and she takes as much as she can get, LOL. She is getting tiny slivers of ham and a small dollop of the rice made with ham broth, which is not as salty.

I have accomplished two goals in one: I have gone through one bin to remove anything that I don't need upstairs, and I have filled one bin to go to the lockers downstairs.

Tuesday
Cleaned up after dog and floor for about an hour
Checked the slow cooker and turned it off. According to the thermometer it is badly overcooked, but it’s still perfect. You just can’t mess up a cottage roll.
Picked up Germane’s food
Gave Germane her heart pill.
Went back to bed
Put a pot of rice on to cook. Used 50% water and 50% fatty broth from the slow cooker
Made Germane a little “probiotic casserole”. She ate the fish and I hope the probiotic, but the dog food is still sitting rejected in her dish.
Went back to the kitchen to turn on the rice. Found that most of the dog food has been eaten, but now Germane is throwing fish on the floor because it’s not ham.
Called animal hospital to renew Germane’s Apoquel: can pick it up tomorrow
Misc tidying
Emptied out granny cart except for TP that needs to go to the lockers downstairs
Started going through bin for use it/lose it/stash it
Discovered that the mouse arm that I thought was defective actually works. Set it up to use it.
Set up mouse pad on table so that I can mouse left/handed/right handed
Found the curtain rings that I will need to hang the extra curtain that I want to try out for the door
Finished going through the bin and updating locker box list
Loaded stairwalking handtruck with filled box etc for locker.

I am tired but I think it is the heat. The car thermometer said 105 and even after it started moving it was 99 the whole time. We leave on the evening of the 10th of June to go stay closer to the airport. Then we fly to Hawaii on the 11 and get home on the 24th.

My db called me, so we had a nice phone visit. I ended by sitting out on the balcony now that it is cooler. That's what we wait for all winter.
