The handle on my crock pot broke so I'm going to be looking for a diff. one hoping to use the crock part as a spare.

Tonight we have planned left overs turkey sausage patties on a bun with egg and a salad. I've just wizzed up a custard in the blender to cook in the crock pot. That worked great!

Since dd's comments about my cooking and making a mess, I haven't cooked once for the young man staying with us. dd came into the kitchen and said it smells this morning... there was only a few dishes in the sink but the floor is dirty again... 3 dogs and 4 cats and 5 humans can do a number on the floor. it was cleaned thursday and by friday she said the floor is so unclean...She worries about being embarrassed but I think next time she says something I will give her a mop. Her new found criticism needs a new home.
So I lost my confidence in cooking and i know I can cook so I need to get some mom courage and get back to making dinner for my family. I even forgot how to do a menu... because I am afraid of what he will think. furumph and he is a really nice guy.

No luck looking for a crock pot sigh / fish for dinner tonight.

Nancy, I may be looking for a new crockpot soon, too. I noticed the counter gets very hot under mine when it is cooking. (It is an older one from the 90's.) Dd says her newer one doesn't do that. Good thing I am home when crockpot is on.

I have bbq chicken in crockpot right now. Will have broccoli and mashed potatoes with it tonight.

how do you do bbq chicken in the crock pot (I would love to know)!

tonight: lemon and herb risotto, fish in paper with spinach and lemon, chicken cutlets for dd younger

Blessed I put bbq sauce on the meat of choice in the crock pot.

how long to you cook it... on high or low?

I cook it 4 hours on low.

Salad for dinner tonight here for me.

I'm going to put fruit in the next custard I make wish me luck!
I have a plan for lunch and dinner!
