Both dgd15 are selling flower bulbs as a fundraiser for cheerleading. Today while I was babysitting at dd2, dgs6 brought up a ceramic football that was filled with change he has saved. He counted out $6 change for him and $6 change for dgd2 so that they could each buy bulbs. All of the selections were $6 each. I was amazed that a kindergartner could count change and correctly. Then he had me quizzing him on addition problems and always had the right answer. I told him that when I was in kindergarten we learned our ABCs, learned to count, name of colors, etc. The same stuff that they now expect kids to know before kindergarten.
