Have not used a/c yet today. It is just now 80 in here, so will turn it on before DH gets home.
Was on a roll yesterday. Ordered a new back door at L owes and found my dress for DS's wedding. Bought the first thing that covered my knees, didn't cling, and didn't look ridiculous! DDIL2B has pronounced it 'fabulous'. The bonus is I found it at our little mall, so will not need to go to big city. Thank you B oscov's!
During the dress search I remembered that I was supposed to get in great shape after son was born, since he is my youngest. Have not done that yet! At the least, I should have started 'pumping iron' when I knew he intended to propose! Bride's mother and I have become friends, thanks to the internet. When I first met her and all the family, I thought they were fine folks to share grandchildren with someday.
About Patricia Heaton--I love her new show. Wasn't even thinking about Raymond, but loved that show too.

Re: WEATHERING WEDNESDAY
Our church has huge central a/c units that blows onto the bleachers but since there no closed walls to contain the cool air, it is quickly lost. For the people who are sensitive to the heat, they can sit directly underneath one of the a/c vents and cope. I'm fine as long as the air is moving, the heat doesn't bother me typically.
Our challenge eating at church is not so much the heat but the winged critters. Yuck Yuck and TRIPLE YUCK to having flies on your food!!!! Someone is always stationed at the serving tables with a towel to wave over the food to discourage them to not land on the food.

Re: WEATHERING WEDNESDAY
I'm trying to use my business brain and it isn't working. Sign that the heat is getting to me. Feeling rather desperate at the moment.
Just made a difficult business call but that is out of the way and I have a list of what I have to do before we can go for dinner (and to the bank.)

WOW! This jumped off the page and got my attention. BWTG Elly! Well said! It shows your heart is overflowing with kindness, acceptance and plenty of love to share! I suspect those not-happened-yet grandkids are going to be showered with love from all sides.I thought they were fine folks to share grandchildren with someday.

Re: WEATHERING WEDNESDAY
Home from errands - I have more boxes, labels to mark where boxes will go, groceries and a bottle of wine. Also made a stop at the new house, where not much was happening. Heat/AC and lighting is supposed to be next install.
Kittencam to watch......

Ooooh, I'd like Meryl Streep too - just the type of no nonsense woman that I aspire to...she's six years older than I am. Or maybe Barbara Streisand in her younger days? Yes, we'd make a great book or movie.
Going to have some downtime on the computer.

Re: WEATHERING WEDNESDAY
I need to get back to taking my vitamins... I'm going to check for D3 on the label, cathyy.
Well, I can add to my accomplishments for the day:
* post office
* reconciled checkbook/statement
I've also eaten too much today. I haven't lain in bed and eaten cereal all day... but I've probably overdone it w/cheese & Triscuits. * sigh *

Re: WEATHERING WEDNESDAY
Well, I did make some progress:
x MBR tidied
x unpacked - my suitcase, the food bag which I sent with the kids, and Pepper's bag
x medicated Pepper's ears; she has an infection
x lol #1 in the dryer, lol #2 in the washer
x fully reclaimed the kitchen; dd16 and friend had made cookies and not completely cleaned up after themselves. They did clean up some, but I just wanted it all done now. I am running the dw early. Dinner dishes wouldn't have fit in it. we had dessert with S and R last night, so there were more dishes than usual to load up this morning.
No bush trimming this afternoon; it is still 91 outside. Perhaps this evening.
I'm leaving in 5 minutes to take dd14 to her first field hockey session of the summer.

Re: WEATHERING WEDNESDAY
Tonight is my last night with DD10. Tomorrow she is back at XDH's house. Tonight she wants to go to the library. This is good because I have books to return and need to get some new ones. This weekend is her Girl Scout camp, so I have a child-free weekend. I have written some friends to see if they want to have lunch. Tonight, I need to cook DD's lunch for tomorrow and get the ants out of the sugar. Also, the usual cat care, shower, etc.
For myself, I am going to let an unknown actress take my part. Give a newbie a chance. If I have to pick someone known, maybe Goldie Hawn, her hair is about the same texture as mine and she could dye it to a strawberry blonde and it would not look out of place.

Re: WEATHERING WEDNESDAY
Readm' and weep girls....Meryl Streep IS my cousin and I don't look anything like her
Mt...I like Bea Arthur for the same reasons you. do If Michelle was busy due to a previous engagement I would choose Helen Mirren. She's a gutsy broad who celebrates her age.
Norma, you're in luck...Polly Bergen is 81 and still kickin'. So is Kim who is 79. However she looks like she's been in to the botox and been a little happy with those scissor doctors
Harmony...I found the bottom of my freeze yesterday...but I beat you anyway. Its only been 3.5 years since I've seen the bottom of mine.
Ummmm...Snicker Doodles, my favorite
Elly my mom loves Boscov's. In fact she worked for them for years. Awhile ago the store closed down and moved out of the area. Recently Boscov's move back to the same mall. For years after they closed my mom would whine if she couldn't find what she was looking for always adding that if Boscov's was still around it would be waiting there at the store. When my mom found out they were coming back, I thought she would weep for joy!!! She even went to the opening of the store.
My outing with Sweetie proved productive although I did come back empty handed. I decided to see if Amazon had the same items I am looking for. Probably cheaper and they deliver to the door. Sadie the wonder dog knows the UPS man very well. Willis is very content at the moment. He is chewing on his new bone. That should keep him busy for a while. I'm tellin' you , he's just like a kid...loves the water, but can't draw like LO. Not much into dressing himself in the mornings either.
Back to my project. At least the floor is clear enough for me to walk around in. That also means I have space to do my exercise DVD...tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow like someone else in this village might say
