SHEs Organized

In spite of this being a beautiful day, it appears this is not my day. Our regular yard guy isn't going to be able to do the yard - he was stung by yellow jacket last week and had a bad reaction and doesn't want to risk it right now. Talked to another yard guy on the mountain and he is coming by tomorrow.

Contractor guy wants to bring his subs next Monday after we're out to let them price it out to him so work won't start until after next Monday.

At the other house dh is still waiting for washer and dryer guy and (heaven forbid) is going to miss his tennis this evening. I could have dropped everything and gone there to wait for washer/dryer, but declined. I'm going to let him miss his tennis for once.

Ds started in with me because he left birthday money on the playroom couch and couldn't find it.

I'm going back upstairs to the playroom to work again.

I think we're totally delusional that we'll have everything out of here on Saturday or even Sunday.

Twins: I agree, you are delusional. There, does that make you feel better? Thought not! Dig out earphones and put on some major music that 'moves you' and get at it. '

Dh and I had pizza for dinner. So much for restarting WW today. But I was writing and didn't want to cook. Dh has a conference call tonight, so we had our pizza, walked and picked up the mail and are now home again. The dishwasher still has to be loaded but I'll do that while dh is on his call.

The sermon is about 1/2 written. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where the other half is coming from. I've done opening, introduced theme 1, introduced theme 2, and most of the closing. It is the middle half that's missing!

RAIN! We have rain! Not a huge amount but anything is welcomed! We have been sliding back into the bad colors on drought status map and yesterday they issued a burn ban for our area.

LO is running a low grade fever and has a snuffy nose. He isn't sleeping soundly and is needy. I'm uneasy/upset about something DD posted online so LO is probably picking up some of my feelings even though I am trying hard to keep them undetectable.

DH and VDFriend spent more hours working on THE DOOR today. VDFriend showed up mid morning with thoughts and ideas he had been working on for the fabrication needed and then stayed for lunch and through most of LO nap time. Today they fabricated/installed inside trim and outside brick stop. Crazy how many hours this door has taken - it is close to 30 man hours! There is NO WAY we could make a living doing what Mr Harmony does. We would starve to death. We still have to prime, paint door and trim. At the speed I paint, that will probably take me 10 hours (at least). 40 man hours just to replace a door. HEY, I just had a thought!! Someone has to be the slowest and make everyone else look good......that is what we do.

Yesterday I broke a window glass (mower hit a rock) so I spent part of the morning removing that storm window and finding someone do that repair. VDFriend was acted kinda funny that i was taking it to be repaired and declared he could have done it. However I'm afraid that might turn into a 20 manhour job and have glass splinters everywhere...... I am quite happy to pay someone to fix it!

There was a trip out to the library so dgs10 and dgd14 could pick up books for their summer reading program, then on to W-M for some odds 'n ends. Everyone went except me, so I finished the kitchen, then arranged the granny squares in rows so I could start sewing them together. Supper is over and kitchen cleaned again.

Ds is putting shelves up in dgs's room and dgd is reading one of her library books.

OKay...sorry LO isn't feeling well par. Glad you finally had some rain. It was cloudy here today and not as hot as it has been.

Kathryn...I wouldn't mind if you used a picture of my quilt in church. And as for photo copyright, it is my own design, not a purchased pattern, so you would have my permission. Is that what you meant? The finished pictures are in March 2012 A & C thread. I could add a picture of the sewing in progress.

That would be great but wait until I ask again after this Sunday's service. I want to see their setup and if adding a computer file to run during the sermon will work. No point uploading more pictures until I'm sure I'll be using them.

I'm wired but not making any progress and need to be out of the house around 7:15 tomorrow so am heading off to bed now. I'll have my laptop with me tomorrow so can continue working if I have moments.

Guess what, Harriet! We saw Brave last night! Just dh & I. There were a few other adults w/out kids in there too. We enjoyed it very much. Sometimes the scenery was done so well that it was hard to believe it wasn't real! I, of course, liked the girl b/c she had all that wild curly hair and was such a tomboy. We both liked the little taste of Scotland, b/c we share some Scotch/Irish heritage, too. It was definitely not a "chick flick" in my opinion, BookSaver.

No clothesline. I checked the tracking and it's supposed to arrive sometime tomorrow. *sigh*

I made supper, and got all the hand-wash supper dishes washed. I still need to run the dishwasher, but it's loaded already.

I ordered a black silk cord for my pendant http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/shema-y ... sh-jewelry. I've had 2 sterling silver chains that broke within weeks - I only got this necklace for (belated) Valentine's Day. Silver chains are relatively inexpensive, but I want something that won't break quite so easily so won't need replacing every other month.

I made it out to the garden for a bit more work.
