Oh, (((
Harriet))) ... some days are just like that, aren't they?
Something I have observed at school, however, is that I never have two
really horrible days in a row. Some days I leave school thinking, "I just can't go back tomorrow... I just can't face (that kid/that administrator/that situation) again." But of course, I do go back, and invariably, the next day is better.
Scarlett was right, tomorrow IS another day. I hope your Wednesday is WONDERFUL beyond belief.
And keep in mind all the great things you did today:
* served as a great hostess under trying conditions
* served as a companion, chauffeur, and medical advocate for your ddad
* served as a great example for dd13
* ran various errands
* exercised in spite of everything else
* responded to dd32's email (even if you were late -- if it was that much of an emergency, I'm sure she would have phoned you, wouldn't she?)
AND you even
* fed a tick
Gee... I'm really getting better at putting a positive spin on things. Y'all are really making progress with me!
But I'm 100% sincere about EVERYTHING except the tick, Harriet. Hang in there. Your ability to manage your home AND your ddad is sooo inspiring to me; you'll never know how much encouragement I receive just from "watching" how you are keeping things together. If some days it seems like it's all unraveling... well... you ARE human. (I think!)
I will be praying that you get a good night's sleep and awake totally refreshed tomorrow morning. (((BIG HUGS)))
