Don't have any new grandbabies like Dee and Lucy - but I have great grandpuppies. Go here to see pictures: http://www.fowlchaserretrievers.com/puppies.html

MT, they are beautiful and mama is so black & sleek! Pardon me for asking but how does one get black and yellow labs in one litter?

My Macs is mostly lab and I love the soft black fur.

The daddy was a yellow. It was a surprise as the puppies usually follow the mother's blood line and Blaze is a black with chocolate genes for several generations back. Guess Daddy had some dominate genes. The litters I like is when you can have all three colors, black, yellow and chocolate in one litter. The yellows can be anywhere from white to dark tan.

I get to play with them as we will be there by Saturday.

Oh, how I miss those days of litters of puppies. Little pink feet, snuffly noses! Angels, all. Emptynester, what a fun time you and Mr. Emptynester will have.

Well, I've washed my hair. More painful to brush it out even when almost dry - I guess the weight of the hair when wet causes more pull. I feel much better but can honestly say I look worse and worse as blue expands over forehead. Oh, dear. And big bday party for my youngest grandson is Saturday, outdoors, and I think they've invited the world, know they will be snapping photos and making videos like crazy.

Definitely know the cat-in-front-of-the-screen phenomenon. Tobias will usually lie down and sleep after 10 or 15 seconds of padding his paws around, but if he's hungry he reaches out a paw to stop me typing, or stands with face directly in front of mine.

The second load of laundry is finished to put-away.

Oh, meant to say that today dd13 made the Chicken Fettucini Alfredo all by herself and it was quite good. Her ddad got home when she was finishing up (she tried to time it) and walked past her saying, "Looks like she's got it." So she was a very happy girl. Clean up still seems to be as much my job as hers, though - how does that happen, again? :D

The puppies are absolutely adorable!! We're trying to buy a lap pup this fall from the breeder where we got Pepper; we're not sure if their dog is pregnant or not. Pepper's mom was blond and her dad was black. They knew beforehand all the pups would be black - and they were.

Lots going on here; Lily the cat has (1) some infection that has caused her lymph nodes to swell, and (2) she has fleas. I don't know how that went unnoticed by us. Yuck! We've got her on flea preventive + antibiotics right now and are waiting to hear results from a blood test. I need to make sure dd14's friend who is watching animals while we're gone is OK with medicating dear cat too. . . Ds and I just completed day 1 of new student and parent orientation at UM. It was generally boring, but there was some good information passed on too. For one thing, we learned about the downside of lots of AP credits: costs go up once a student hits Jr. status, which is based on credit hours and which ds will likely do after 1 year - if he takes all his credits. Also, ds learned that he needs to declare a major by the time he is officially a Jr., so his time to figure that out will be short. . . .However, since we bought tuition ahead of time, like 4 years ago, the $$ doesn't matter w/ ds; his tuition has basically been pre-paid. But the realization today irked me. Not all Univ. raise tuition Jr. year. I'm thinking of the girls; the cost is higher now than I thought it would be. Goodness, what will it be in 4 years when dd14 goes off? And do we recommend fewer AP courses to make the costs less? --We are not going to recommend graduating early to our children; we'd rather they take the time to explore different classes.

Maybe TMI??

I cancelled Thursday dinner crew. I felt a little guilty, but I could hear all your voices in the back of my head encouraging me. I think it was the right thing to do. I have a gazillion things to do before we leave town Saturday.

Tomorrow is half day orientation for me, starting early, so I'm off to bed.

Neighbors dog is back to his bad habits again, their cat is here more than there as well we have shade and no dogs I can under stand why! LOL!

Berring today was a success dgson wants to go again he had a blast and ate a lot of 'em. The younger two were here nearly 12 hrs. so it was a good way to break up the day. Dgd took a bath and then a good long nap after lunch. Dgson enjoyed the Daniel Boone show.

Turned down a showing opportunity did not get the message in time and had other things going on plus the house was a-a pit! With all the outside stuff kitchen looked like we had just got done canning fruit or something!

Older two are coming over mid-day tomorrow so I'm trying to get a few things done tonight before hand.
