Dove, on Tuesday of last week I posted thanks to you and an interesting link to which your info had led me.
OKay, I'm so glad it seems helpful. I think it is, too, although mine has never looked so nice as when the fellow so effortlessly did it, of course!

Gr-r-r! Lost a post and I have to start all over. Last Monday I posted that I would not be on the next day because of an early eye appointment. We had to leave here at 7 to reach an 8 a.m. appointment. I would prefer a later time but ds is the boss on those things since he has to take me. Anyway, I did not expect it to be a week before I got back here. I had some fights with my computer and was otherwise busy and it just didn't happen.
Welcome, Scattered, and thanks for opening the village this morning. Okay, you are doing what all mothers have to do many times as their brood is growing up. Kudos for getting so much done today. And Bernice too! Incidentally, I have twins too. Are yours boys, girls, or one of each? Mine are the latter and about to celebrate their 54th birthday this week. Yes, that was not a typo. They were born in 1958.
Kathryn, I was so glad to read about the return of your energy. And you were wise to get some rest when you did. And Helia, I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around your ds being in college now. That's what I get for not staying in touch.
Enough for now. Back later.

No, that wouldn't have worked. I'm here almost daily and I'm still having trouble with that, Harriet's dd14 in high school, and LO at school.
Dh's dinner was ready minutes after he walked in the door so he got something in his tummy before choir. I promised his berries and ice cream when he gets back (no conference call tonight due to circumstances.)
I need to get writing but am suffering severe writer's block.

Kathryn I am happy to read you are feeling better.
Nancy, happy belated birthday! I was here yesterday but didn't post.
Welcome Scattered. I hope the rest of your day is better.
After my working on Saturday and church Sunday (where I also helped with the communion trays) and a couple hours at DFriend's, I ended up sleeping 5 hours. And I woke very very "down". So I don't know what that all means.
Today again I forced myself to get stuff done. I got all the laundry folded and put away, and cleaned up our bedroom. Then I tackled the entertainment units and got them all cleaned out. That was a big job. I helped DH bring in the new unit and we slowly moved all the electronics over to the new unit and got all the wires hooked up. Then we put it into place and moved the other bookcases next to it.
I will have to rearrange all the stuff in the bookcases. But I like how it all turned out. It is a huge relief not to be looking at piles of wires. The old units are moved out to the living room. We will get them out of there soon to donate. I have a couple bags of stuff to take to GW and a few things went into the garbage. Such a huge accomplishment for us. I am exhausted and DH is stiff and sore. We are glad to be done.

This morning ds and ddil went out on their four wheeler and were gone about 5 hours. Said they had fun but fact is they vegged out in front of the TV ALL afternoon. Ds just got out of his recliner and went outside to put the 4 wheeler away. And ddil is just now in the kitchen doing something about dinner. The fact that she worked a graveyard last night so hasn't slept in 24 hours doesn't help any. Ds retired the first of the year but ddil insists on continuing to work longer. Tomorrow we will have the grandchildren (theirs, my great grandchildren) arriving early in the morning. The older one will get himself to school on his own, the little one will have to be taken to school when it's time. She is in kindergarten and they have very strict rules about the children being escorted by adults. It's good to know they are so careful about that.
Looks like dinner call in a minute so I will post this.

MamaP - it is so very good to see CI from you.
LO room report - All doors, windows and baseboards are taped off. Newspapers spread on floor (poor man drop cloth

). Electrical covers off. Nails pulled and the holes caulked. Pulled a couple dozen staples out of the wall
(I suspect those were left from when DGS17 & DGS15 lived in this room). Second coat of kilz put on the cornice boards (DH took LO to swimming lessons for me....so i had 45 minutes opportunity to get-r-done). I don't know why......but I only bought 1 gallon of paint.

The closet took over a gallon so I have no clue WHAT WAS I THINKING! I know there should be a formula sq ft = number of gallons needed. I best be looking that up and see how much more paint I need.

Grilled burgers for supper. Sliced a large, sweet onion that nearly blinded me...it made my eyes water so much...will need goggles if I buy those again! The small, yellow cooking onions don't have the same effect.
Many phone calls today--DB, DBIL, DSIL, and DS. It rained, so DH got to enjoy his day off (and birthday) playing video games.
Tonight seems like Saturday to me. I'll be mixed up all week, probably.

Finished the pillows for the daybed - I'll post pictures in Creative Home. Also pictures of puppies in Across the Cafe Table.
After I finished the pillows and took them upstairs, I shut all the windows that the group renting the Castle this weekend AND the camp host that was supposed to check had left open. They had also tied the drapes in a big knot to let more air thru. That will be reported in the morning.
Then I cleaned up the Volunteer room and swept the floor. So now it is better than I found it. Also left a note for Costume Volunteer telling her it was nice to work with her.
Now sitting listening to the tree frogs and cicadas. Think there might be a coyote or two in the woods across the river.
Tomorrow we move the MH. We will be traveling to southern IL to see DD#1 and family and then next Sunday to a Rally.
Makes me feel like we are headed to home - but it will be over a month yet to get there.
