Hi everyone! I tried to get in earlier, but I too could not. I stayed up too late last night. I wanted to finish a blanket for DD10's newest build-a-bear and its bed. I got the new foster cat out beside me in her bed. When I got up, she got out of the bed and I had to get her back in, but I succeeded. She is afraid of people, she came from a feral colony and is at my house for socialization. I should have done some pick up in the house, the maids are coming Wed and tues is Girls Night Out. I wanted DD to help in her room, but I may have to do it just to get it done. With her broken wrist, she is not going to be very fast. I wish I had done pick up over the weekend. I spilled lots of gravy on the carpet at payroll, but I got it up. Tomorrow I have to get up way EARLY to get DD10 to her Dragon Singers practice. XDH has a meeting at that time. NOT looking forward to that.
Tonight's plan is: grocery shopping, massive pick up of house, get sheets out for maids, fix tomorrow's lunch. I guess I will have cereal for dinner because it is easy.
Happy Birthday Kathryn!

Hi everyone. An email was sent to everyone about this. The short version is that reports are an "untold number of websites" were downed this afternoon by the hacking group that calls themselves "Anonymous". 53 million I've heard on the news.
I believe they have made a few enemies today. I would worry about charitable groups and foundations. Lots of people's email accounts, too.

Busy afternoon - groc. shopping, put away, pick up dd14, bloodwork etc. for her, her derm. appt., home for 1 hour - didn't get much done beyond some random pick up and chatting with dgirls. Then, it was off to Hebrew -- different from my Univ. class, mainly b/c my Univ. prof had us parsing out every single verb and analyzing all forms of words and then analyzing phrases. This teacher just had us read and translate, and then translations were done loosely sometimes. No mention of verb forms, etc. . . .
Now, I need to finish getting dinner on the table. Dh is finishing his run. His papers should be off!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KATHRYN!!!
ci:
I am just about to drop. Not a bad day @ school; just a tiring one.
Then groceries, etc...
Yep... I am exhausted.
I did NOT accompany dh to visit dmil.

I am off. Hopefully to get stuff done. Gotta get maid prep done. Don't know what I am going to have for lunch tomorrow. Probably those Compleat dinners in a plate. Cheap and easy, though I hate the disposable plastic.

Nice to come back from my birthday dinner out with ds and find the forums up!
I really need to update the SHE off-line email list. I started last week but then decided to wait and see how many emails bounced from the mass email I sent through the system. No emails bounced but I haven't restarted that project (there are 60 emails and members to update.)
Today I sent an email using the off-line email list and 10 emails bounced. Plus I know about 60 members may not have received the email, including Bernice and Scattered as some of our new members (but many long-time members aren't on the list either for some reason.)
My day has been pretty good. I headed out late and ended up coming home the same amount of time late, having done everything I set out to do. Unfortunately there were a number of phone messages that needed dealing with and then an email telling me the site was down so I took another 25 minutes to get to bed. Sent ds a text telling him to come 30 minutes later.
Couldn't sleep so after an hour of rest I turned on my laptop and found an email from ds saying he was on the front porch. So I sent him one back to say come in and he came up to my room, lay down on the other side of the bed and then we ended up chatting and working on our computers for another hour. Dd called as well and chatted with both of us for an hour.
We headed off for dinner where I got a birthday brownie but without the candle or singing because the server (a friend) didn't want to embarrass me but delivered it with a very sincere Happy Birthday.
Ds has just ordered a Galaxy Note for dh to pick up at the hotel. Because he'll get this, I'll get his old phone. Unless he ends up finding the Note too large, in which case I'll end up with the Note. Either way, I'll end up with a 'used' smart phone.
Ds and I are now watching a movie. He might sleep over here tonight so he can get more sleep. We'll see. He lives 30 minutes from here, plus a 10 minute drive to work. I live just 20 minutes from his work so he can gain 20 minutes sleep by staying here.

Just for the record,Harriet, I did not receive an email about the website being down. I need to check and see if the correct one is in my profile.
