I was reading about the Shingles shot by one of you -sorry, I forget now who that was and I'm too lazy to go out of this and look back. Your insurance doesn't cover the shingle shot? Think ours does once you turn 60 or maybe it's 55. Ours were done through a study several years ago. Unfortunately I still got Shingles (though they said it would have been worse without it. IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE? I don't see how). At any rate dh got a placebo and when the study was up after several years they gave him the 'real' thing. I had asked if I needed some kind of a booster, but they determined I had already given myself a booster by having it. I keep hearing conflicting things about how often the pneumonia shot is given. (we both have had that). Lately they tell us only once.

I've lost a husband it seems. Anyone seen him? He was here planting and disappeared about an hour ago. :?

Home again! I left for work at 6:40 this morning and was there until five p.m. As it stands now, I don't need to go to work tomorrow - the return I finished last night was reviewed and is going out today, and the other reviewer reviewed the workpapers for the return I finished mid-morning. He will finish reviewing the return overnight and email me with any questions. He thinks that he should be able to make any additional changes and I will call the client tomorrow from home with the amounts to pay in.

After work I bought milk and went to Petsmart for dog food. We had enough dog food for tonight, but probably not in the morning.

I stood up the rabbi this morning - meant to email him last night, then thought of him once this morning before he texted me around 8:45. We reset the meeting tentatively tomorrow at 8 a.m. - I think he probably needs some reassurance. I've also made contact with representatives of our movement regarding advice from them and we'll set up a phone conference next week.

So glad to see Mystery coming by, and I can't believe your older is almost in HS. Mystery, my twins are in their second year of college - ds at Georgia Tech and dd at UT-Knoxville.

I am going to relax this evening; will walk the dogs and maybe go to bed early. DH has a meeting of some kind this early and said he'd be home late.

I've been reading the shoe tying and button comments with much interest. Thank you for sharing your insight and thoughts.

I think some smart talented person should start a business to sell jeans with elastic waist for children bigger than toddlers. I suspect they would have a huge business.because they wouldn't have any competition (at least not that I can find).

After school, we
** visited DParents. DDad has his ups and down. He is having some incredible (for him) good days. I wish I could grab these treasured moments and save them.
** Homework done! I find it somewhat unbelievable that preschool has homework to do.!
** supper prepared/served (fried chicken, seasoned rice, green beans, squash with ripe sliced pears for dessert).

We normally go outside now, but it is cool, windy with occasional raindrops. I should do something but my energy level is low. hum.....thinking teaching LO a board game at the dining room table would be a good choice.

About how often the pneumonia shot . . . my doc. said every ten years.
I have been missing when they are doing shots at the place I usually get mine hope to get it soon if not I'll go to the other place & get it.

It's so smokey out my eyes were burning a bit after doing my regular watering, it usually does not bother me, I'm staying inside knitting now.

Forgot to add - I called the state where I have my Drivers License and I don't have to go now - I can get an extension until next summer. Sooooooo we will be heading to some really nice parks in Kansas (one new and one repeat) to spend some time and then a new one in New Mexico. It is about time we do some tourist stuff.

We will be in NM by early Oct and back to the ranch by Oct. 18, :D  :D  :D  :D

Dee, I was the one who said my insurance company does not cover the shingles shot, my doctor said that was common and so did a pharmacist I spoke to. Costco's price at $188 is better than the other 2 quoted prices at $210 and $219 though. So I'm grateful for that. Need to look on the bright side.

I put my last load of laundry on a 2-hour delay timer, then fell asleep. It's spinning out now and it's dinnertime almost.

I wrote a letter, worked on a paper project that took a long time to do, and helped DH put groceries away.

I believe I've seen that book, "Declutter Your Home Fast," by Julia Green.

Kathryn, Thanks for filling me in on your floors. I miss carpeting in this house, but at least we've got 2 area rugs and throw rugs.

Elizabeth, Taking in foster cats is awesome. It's a very nice thing to do. I adopted my cat, too.

   At first, MT, I thought you had sent me a "personal" message to DeeClutter    But when I looked it says it's free for Prime members to read. Unfortunately I already have my 1 book 'borrowed' for September. :? Sounds interesting.

Edit: Went back in and searched Julia Green and it came up. So ordered it for free. Thanks, MT.

LO beat me at a lively game of "Letter of the Day Bingo"

It's official.
Confirmed.
I'm definitely going bonkers.

All i wanted to do was order a boys size 12 set of PJ's. Easy. Right?
Over and over I click on "Pajama Set - Boys 4-20" however the biggest size available is 10
I've done this at several online places.....Amazon, Old Navy, JCPenny, Sears, walmart
makes absolutely no sense to me. Why say 4-20 in the title if your only offering size up to 10???
Everyone does it so it must me that don't get it.

I'm off to bed......tomorrow is fresh new day!
